“one of the best places i have stayed”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 November 2011

i stayed for two nights at the attwater villa and it was a plesant time.the accomdations where great, roland carried my bags upstairs to the third floor and showed me to my room.i thought the room was awsome and luxurious,i had a king size bed wich was so comfortable, the room was immaculate.i would reccomend for anyone who is visiting rhode island to stayed at the villa.everything is close by and it was easy for me to find my way back to the villa.on top of everything ur able see the most beautiful scenery in r.i.

Room Tip: all the rooms are great so i suggest any of them

“Spacious and quiet.”

We had heard really good things about the Attwater and we were not disappointed. Sadie greeted us with a smile and an encyclopedic knowledge of the city. She told us where the food was good (and where it was not so good), she gave us advice about the mansions, and she pointed out a great cupcake place that made us look like heroes when we returned home with a dozen. The room was spacious, immaculate, and quiet. Breakfast was fresh and yummy. The villa is centrally located and, had the weather been better, we would probably have walked to lots of the attractions. If we are fortunate enough to return to Newport in the future, this will be our first choice for accommodations.

Room Tip: We booked a suite (room 31) and it's spaciousness was worth it.

“Warm welcome & a homely experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 October 2011

My wife & I stayed for a night on our recent trip to New England. The lovely warm welcome we received at the Attwater Villa was a good omen which carried on through the rest of our stay. Sadie & Roland were most helpful in suggesting local restaurants and things that we could do around Newport the following day.

Our room was spacious, the bed extremely comfortable and the bathroom well appointed. Breakfast in the morning was a friendly affair with an excellent buffet selection.

Couldn't have asked for better - thoroughly recommended.

“A Weekend At Attwater”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 October 2011

This was my first time staying at Attwater, but not my first time to Newport. The inn is very charming and conveniently located. Sadie and Roland are very gracious hosts - so warm, inviting and helpful. Sadie directed us to all the best restaurants and steered us away from the bad ones. She even let us know which ones are better for lunch and which are just for a drink. Their continental breakfast offers a variety of cereals, breads and such in addition to yogurt and the most amazing fresh melon. I look forward to staying at the Attwater again.

This was my 3rd time staying at the Attwater Villa and it was just as wonderful as the other times. Sadie and Roland are very accomodating and welcome their guests in a warm fashion. They provide a map of Newport and inform you of where people recommend to go because they were highlights of their trip. The inn is very clean and nicely decorated. I slept soundly in the comfortable bed as well. Breakfast was delicious and offers a variety of foods and drinks. I enjoy staying here because it is convenient to everything. You can park your car in their lot all day and walk to town or the mansions. I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else whenever I decide to come to Newport.

Room Tip: I have liked all the rooms I stayed in here.
