i have never been tempted to go to a Bed & Breakfast, until my wife booked a trip to the John Easton House in Newport, RI.
I have to say, I was impressed of the charm of that place. first, the owner, Jan, was extremely nice with us and you can tell she makes a lot of effort to make sure her customers have an enjoyable stay.
The room was huge, Mr. Clean neat, the bed was pretty comfortable, and the bathroom was huge as well and fully equipped (hair dryer, shampoo, soap, etc..).
the best part was probably the breakfast. Jan cooks everything on her own and puts so much love in her cooking that you feel like you are eating at Home. I can tell you, we were pretty full after such a great breakfast!
Location wise, it's pretty good. First it's quiet, so you won't hear any disturbing traffic noise. then it's 5 minutes walking distance from the Wharf downhill, and just a block away from Bellevue avenue and the Mansion district.
Conclusion: I had a great stay for my first experience in a B&B, and my wife and I are already thinking of coming back to the same place next summer with our family.
Thank you Jan for putting so much energy into our comfort and the quality of our stay!
