“Another wonderful stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 January 2012

Being from Newport and revisiting once a year, we have made it a point to stay at the Spring Street Inn with Inn Keeper Patricia Golder. Every stay has been a complete joy, from the meticulously kept rooms, very professional staff (housekeeper), to the exquisite gourmet breakfasts, and excellent and informed conversations. Pat is also a repository of information on the area and its history. She takes guest service to a whole new level!! I highly recommend a stay.

“Beautiful!!”

My parents stay at the Spring Street Inn all the time so I decided to stop by, meet Patricia, and take a look around. I was absolutely blown away at how lovely everything was. The rooms are beatuifully decorated and very comfortable and all the bathrooms were clean with fresh towels. Each room had its own sense of comfort and I would have stayed in any of the rooms there. Patricia is a wonderful woman with a ready supply of interesting conversation. There was never a dull moment during my stay here and I will definitely be going back!!

Room Tip: All rooms are beautifully furnished. I love the suite at the very top floor, its very large and it h...

“Nice Stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 November 2011

Pat welcomed us as soon as we walked in the door by giving us a rundown of the B&B’s amenities, local things to do, restaurants, and such while outlining everything on a map. I agree she was very knowledgeable but during our stay as I listened to her talking to other guests I found her to be quite opinionated. The inn is very nice, there was lemonade & iced tea with fresh cookies every afternoon and a very good breakfast buffet. We did have the room right outside the dining room with twin beds. Pat did tell us ahead of time. Our room was very comfortable and it was nice for my elderly mom not to have to take the stairs. The traffic which Pat said would sound like wind got a bit annoying. I was surprised it went on all night long for a rather quiet time of year. Our stay though was very enjoyable, location great, free parking (a very nice perk), we met some wonderful people and I would stay there again.

Room Tip: I would ask if the upper level floors are quieter to traffic.

“Wonderful!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 November 2011

Patricia is so knowledgeable and welcoming! My husband and I were at the Spring Street Inn to celebrate our 20th anniversary and everything there was perfect. Our room was welcoming and cozy. We had the third floor with a deck and the view was magnificent! My husband and I were going to take a tour one morning of our stay but instead enjoyed a very historical conversation with the Inn's ower, Pat. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful and the afternoon cookies were great, as well. We are looking forward to going back to stay another time!

Room Tip: We had a third floor room with the deck. It was quiet up there and the view was spectacular.

“An inviting getaway, with gourmet breakfast!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 November 2011

The Spring Street Inn is an ideal home-base for a getaway in Newport RI. The location is great (one block up from Thames St), the Victorian property is beautiful and meticulously maintained, and the breakfast buffet is to die for! Innkeeper Pat Golder is a fantastic cook (you won't need/want to go out for breakfast while in Newport, and maybe not even for lunch!). Pat is also extremely knowledgeable about Newport, and openly shares this information with her guests.

If you're looking to experience a relaxing and enjoyable visit to Newport, this is the place to stay!
