“Very Comfortable Stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 December 2011

Our room was very small, but very clean with a nice bed and all the hardware you need. Nice new flat screen TV, big fridge, micro, ipod dock etc. They have two buildings, we were in the older one on the inside, but could still see the water. You'll have to pay extra for a waterside room. They have an awesome rooftop jacuzzi and firepit. Even though it was 28 degrees out we went in the tub. It was real nice and we didn't even freeze getting dressed. Didn't get to check out the restaraunt as it was Sunday, not open.

Room Tip: You can pay extra for awesome views, stay in the new building if you want all new modern. Older buil...

“Very charming”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 December 2011

We booked through Priceline and stayed in the "historic" side of the hotel. The first room we were given was tiny and only had one bed. When we went back to request an exchange we received 2 beds room with no problems and were warned about inability to pick room size on Priceline. The room itself was cozy and well maintained even though both vanity and the sink had cracks in them. The floor was creaking but I feel it only gave the room more charm and character. Otherwise it was decent stylish and well sunlight with windows on both sides of the room. Generally hotel stay was a highlight of our Newport Mansion tour.

“wow - even better than I expected”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 December 2011

Our friend is getting married and decided to do an engagement party overnight in Newport. Wowweeee---what a perfect choice. Everyone stayed at the Newport Beach Hotel and Suites. It was great. The best thing about this hotel is that it has a lot of different types of rooms and pricing to go with it. We stayed in a two bedroom suite with another couple and thought it was a great deal because the room was literally more than twice the size of two regular rooms and had two bedrooms and bathrooms and a a large living room area. The guys were in total heaven because there were big couches and chairs and a bar in the room and a huge tv. They sat around and watched football drank and ate all afternoon with some of their buddies. My girlfriend and I walked the cliff walk and then got massages back at the hotel. There was party at the hotel that night and the food was really amazing. I wasn't expecting such a good meal at the hotel. I found out later that the restaurant is run by the former chef a the Viking Hotel. He definitely knows what he is doing. The bartender also knew what he was doing too! I was concerned that some of our friends might not be able to afford the hotel when I saw our room. I found out that there are some very well priced rooms in the original building. I went up for a night cap with one of my friends and the room was really small, but pretty much had everything that you would need. Big tv. Comfortable bed marble bathroom...They said that they booked the cheapest room at the hotel and that this is what they got. When I heard the price- under a hundred dollars, I was surprised how cheap it was. It turns out their are like ten different types of rooms at the hotel- all different sizes, locations and prices. Frankly, I will stick with my two bedroom suite, but thought the variety was a plus for people going to the same place but travelling on different budgets. We went out as a big group for brunch at the atlantic grille the next morning. totally excellent brunch especially for those who had a bit too much to drink because it was a short walk --ah fresh ocean air, and the portions are huge. I would reccomend this place to anyone looking for a good hotel in a great location with some local feel

Room Tip: Take a walk on the cliff walk. It is a very short walk from the hotel along the beach. Spectacular

“great location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 December 2011

I had the pleasure of staying at the Newport Beach Hotel recently. The guestroom was spacious and immaculate with a super comfortable king size bed, Flat screen TV and other amenities My view overlooked Easton’s Beach which is directly across the street. Watching the sunrise and walking the beach was a real treat. Highly recommend the hotel for a relaxing weekend. Look forward to going back again.

Room Tip: ask for a view of the ocean

“ideal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 December 2011

This hotel is right across from the beach in Newport which makes the views special. It also has some of the nicest touches that I have experienced at a hotel. Some places have lots of stuff that you pay for and never use. This place has stuff I loved and most of it was located right in my room so I got to use during my whole stay. The bathroom in my room was all marble and had a jacuzzi tub that looked out over Newport Pond (there are really two nice viewscapes at this place-the beach and the pond). I started both mornings with a hot bath. What a way to start the day. There was a full kitchen in my room with free Starbucks coffee too. The beds were rediculously comfortable and there were about 300 channels on the tv. I have never had so many channels to choose from in a hotel room. There was also free wifi and an ipod docking station. A walk on the beach, and a work out in the exercise room. I wish I could have extended my stay. Couldn't leave without going to Flo's clamshack next door. I can't imagine it being any nicer, but I am definitely going to check it out in the summer season sometime.

Room Tip: Bring a bathing suit. There is a hot tub on the roof that is open in the off season and has a reall...
