“good value for money”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 December 2011

We stayed here for 6 nights in October while visiting the Grand Canyon, Walnut Creek and Sedona areas. It is a lovely hotel. We were offered an upgrade to a suite for a very reasonable additional $35 a night, which we accepted. The main hotel areas were clean and smart, the breakfast area well managed with the staff visibly helpful to customers who were struggling to find items or make waffles, and the busines centre adequate. The suite had everything one needed for a stay, with lots of space, an excellent equipped kitchen and fre popcorn! The only negative was the indoor pool area, where we noticed chemicals left out unattended by staff, who were missing for over an hour

Room Tip: take the upgrade if offered

“Exceeded my expectations”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 December 2011

We planned a last minute trip (midweek) to do the Polar Express in Williams. We chose not to stay in Williams based on a number of people telling us to stay elsewhere if possible (I'm glad we did). I had wanted to stay at the Courtyard but my husband wanted Hampton Inn He stays at the Hampton Inns frequently for business and is always happy with them. I am what my husband likes to call a "hotel snob". What I truly am is a major germaphobe. My hotel preferences have absolutely nothing to do with feeling elite and everything to do with how clean it looks/feels (despite how deceiving looks can be). So I was sold when hubby explained the Hampton Inn policies of cleaning remotes and duvet covers, etc. We had a suite with double beds (3 year old son with us). There was a full kitchen with dishes, etc, a living room and fireplace, the bedroom and bathroom. I was happy with how large it was. My hubby was disappointed because he said the suites are usually nicer, I thought it was fine. Very clean and large, just not overly fancy. No pay per view but there was a dvd player. Toiletries were really basic. Beds were insanely comfortable! All in all, pretty happy. Would stay there again if we went back. I will agree with a previous reviewer and state that the rates were a little high for what you get

“Just where I needed to be”

This place was where I needed to be with my family. I stayed for 4 days and 3 nights. I needed to attend graduation at NAU and my ceremony was at 9 am. Breakfast was ready from 6 to 10 am and the hot buffet was great!! They did run out at times of milk whenever we attended breakfast late, but still had other choices. The oatmeal was great in addition to the other goodies. Loved my complimentary snacks in the room when I first arrived and had a great choice of pillows. The room was a little tight for a family of 5, but loved the queen sized beds and we also brought a cot for the 5th person. The front desk was very very nice, especially Autumn. I did have one complaint one day and that was when my family went to visit the Grand Canyon. On our return trip, our beds were not made and my window was left open. We left it open before we left because the heat made the room too stuffy so we wanted to air it out. I just didn't expect to find it open when we returned. I made the complaint to the front desk and they were very accomodating. The entry way was very nicely done with the fireplace going and xmas decorations. The work out room was good, small, but enough to get a routine done. The pool was great for my kids as well as the hot tub which was way tooo hot!! I think it was 103 degrees!

I would definitely come back to this place again.

Room Tip: If you're traveling with a party of 5 or more, get a suite and pay for the upgrade. It is worth...

“Clean and comfortable”

We stopped in late during a road trip. Per usual Hampton Inn does not disappoint. Room was clean and so was lobby and the rest of the space. Parking was a little challenging but they were busy. I always look forward to the Hampton breakfast, and they did not disappoint. Cheese omelets and all the rest of the standard fixins.

Room Tip: Don't park in the del Taco drive through! hard to tell at night

“Disappoints”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 November 2011 via mobile

This hotel is overpriced for the quality. My husband and I stayed here overnight for a quick Flag weekend getaway. The lobby is cozy and welcoming and appears to be kept up. The rooms however look, feel and smell old. The "updated" paint is chipping and messy - paint on the ceiling. The bathroom has not need updated and the tile was dirty. The wastebaskets in the room didn't even have liners. There are printed out pieces of paper taped up everywhere reminding you that you are on camera, which is unwelcoming and makes you wonder why they feel they need to remind people of that. The breakfast was cold and understocked at 8am.

We were kept up until 2am by someone playing the saxophone in another room and nothing was done about it. Additionally, we were woken up at 8am after hoping to sleep in due to the noise into the early morning hours, by the hotels fire alarms going off. We jumped out of bed to sirens and strobe lights but noticed no one was evacuating the hotel and no fire trucks came. We got downstairs and the manager told everyone it was a false alarm. The false alarm went off for more than ten minutes.

I have stayed at many Hampton Inn and Suites properties and this is by far the most disappointing. The price does not reflect the quality of the hotel. You could argue that it's a great location but there are other highly ranked hotels surrounding this one. Almost any hotel in Flagstaff has a great location so not even that warrants what they charge for these rooms.
