We traveled by vehicle all the way from Atlanta to Flagstaff; arriving about 7:30 am. I checked in with a coupon I had found at one of the rest areas, which greatly reduced the rate. My husband and I went to the room only to find the carpet was gooey (yeah that is best way I can describe the film of yuck that was on the pulled up, stained carpet), the walls had paint chipped out of them, the heater did not work, the sheets were filthy, the shampoo bottle was empty, the towels were still on the floor. Yeah we got a used room. Learn not to use a coupon. When my husband went up to complain, the guy explained to us that is because we stayed there and it was like that. We had just checked in.. you gotta be kidding me. He then proceeded to tell us that we had to check out at 11 am... the SAME DAY!!! SO I just paid all this money to stay in a room for less than 4 hours... I do not think so. I wouldn't recommend the coffee shop that is located next to it as their $6 coffee for two is not worth it. I can get their maxwell house a lot cheaper elsewhere.

After arguing my point of either give our money back for the used room that we have to check out less than 4 hours after check in, or a different room with check out tomorrow. Needless to say we got our money back, and went down one more exit to a nicer hotel that we paid the SAME price for. The high speed free WIFI that this hotel offered only gave us 1 bar, and we were practically on top of the office.

This place should be shut down.

We came up to Flagstaff for a quick trip away from the hot sun of Phoenix. This hotel is just a hotel. Nothing fancy or over the top. When visiting Flagstaff there are a few things to remember. Pretty much no matter where you stay you are close to the train tracks or a freeway. There are 2 sets of tracks and 3 freeways that run through the town. Not much the hotel can do about it. If you are closer to the front of the hotel you will be closer to the I-40 and the train tracks.

The bed was decent. Clean and ironed sheets. The pillows are a bit flat. We stayed in a smoking room, because the rates were cheaper for a smoking room. If you opt for this route, bring some air freshener! The bathrooms were clean. It looks like ours was just remodeled. Don't let the photograph fool you the upstairs rooms or the ones nearest the pool are the ones with the sliding door balconies. The A/C was good.

The two biggest down falls for this hotel are that 1) the Fridge and the microwave were just setting atop of some laminated plywood with the microwave on top of each other. And we came back from our first hike about 9:00 and they were right at our room for clean up. We missed the room cleaning and when I called later in the evening to get fresh towels we were never provided with them.

The breakfast was decent. If you want plain coffee and some OJ and some toast, muffins and danishes it will hit the spot. DO NOT GO OVER TO JACS next door and get some plain coffee. Two coffee's will set you back 6 bucks!

Overall this is a decent hotel room. I have stayed in more expensive hotel rooms for worse quality. If you are just using your room for somewhere to sleep book it here...It was a fairly nice stay.

We booked this via its website for one stay after visiting the grand canyon. When we actually drove there and realised how close it was to the highway we regreted it. Very noisy as it backed on to the highway. Service was average, they didnt really explain where the room was so we had a little bit of difficulty finding it. Room was average, bed not comfortable. Glass door to the balcony was very clean, didnt realise it was a open and walked into it :-). Hotel appeared clean but there was something about it that made it feel dirty, like it wasnt properly cleaned. wouldnt stay here again.

It was cold and rainy (30s at night) in Flagstaff, and when we tried to turn on the heat to take the chill away....the heat had been turned off for the summer for the entire hotel. When we asked for another blanket...they didn't have any extras. They did have space heaters to use, at least. The evening shift at the front desk knew nothing about the hotel or how to fix a sliding glass door that wasn't closed on the non-moving end. There was an empty swimming pool outside---imagine that---too cold for the pool but warm enough to turn off the heat inside.
