We were excited to try this place after hearing about it on Chowhound and after taking an early flight in from San Francisco and driving towards the Grand Canyon, we were starving. We got there right when it opened at 11am. Service was good as the place was empty.
We ordered the pretzels to start - our server did tell us there were 3 huge pretzels and they were big, but they weren't very good. Just tasted like bread, didn't have a buttery crust or anything like that. The mustard dipping sauce was good - we did not like the cheese one. Then we shared a poblano chicken sandwich and a meatless pizza. The sandwich and fries were just okay. I love chilies but it was a bit heavy on the poblano. The pizza was the best thing and while it was good, it wasn't anything amazing.
I'm not sure if it's just that there aren't a lot of great options around, but we weren't to thrilled with the meal.
