“STAY AWAY!”

AWFUL MESS! The fan in the bathroom was dangling. A used toothbrush in the room! Clothes from a previous guest in the drawer. A 6 week old receipt and paper plates in the other drawer. When we called to complain, no one ever answered the phone. Homeless person sleeping in the garden/shrubbery/recreational/pool area.
I spoke to the owner who said "what you paid for your room is reasonable, and went back into his office!" I was trying to talk to him, and he just left and went into his office! ! !
DO NOT BE A FOOL LIKE I WAS. Many hotels in Flagstaff, and just about any are better than this!

“truly awful”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 August 2011

Let me preface this review by saying that I'm not precious...I do not expect luxury when staying at a highway motel anywhere in the world...however what I do expect is that for $102 (including tax) I can have a basic, clean room and bed to catch a nights rest on a cross country road trip. What I do not expect is a shower head so mouldy I had to clean it before use, carpets so dirty I was afraid to take off my shoes, only two working powerpoints nor a musty smelling bed with burn holes in both sheets and blankets.

A truly horrible room. Had there been anyone at reception for me to speak to on check out I would have...but we left so early, so keen we were to get out of the place, that reception was not open. Definitely below par,..drive on.

“Very disappointed.”

The girl at the front desk greeted me with nothing but a blank stare. I was charged 80 dollars after tax and fees and would be happy to pay if it was clean. It was dingy, smelly and gross. They seem to cater to the seedy weekly crowd. I felt ripped off.

“Tear it down and start over.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 July 2011

Young lady at front desk was the best thing about the place. Rooms are old, furniture is old, rooms are dirty, linens are cheap, area around ice machine outside is disgusting, sink wouldn't drain in bathroom, didn't take our shoes off in the room as the carpet was beyond being dirty. The whole experienced was beyond horrible and we're disgusted that we ended up staying there and not moving on to a better hotel. This hotel contributes nothing good to the Travelodge name and your best bet would be to tear it down and re-build a new one with completely different owners/managers. It's an embarassment that foreigners would stay here while visiting the Grand Canyon and may be thinking this is the best that the USA has to offer. Shame on you.

had problems from the start .the maids were lazy at best. one of the maids was so rude!!!! One night when i came back from a long day and had no power in half my room after calling the front desk several time i was informed that i would just have to go without tv and lights.the front desk clerk said i had to much stuff plugged in the tv and too lights. i couldn't believe they weren't going to do anything about it.
the bar - restaurant up front was a disaster they had so many wasted people come out of there and go to the guests and ask to get in there rooms begging for change and we even had to call an ambulance for one guy because he was laying half in the street and couldn't get up the internet didn't work the whole time we there
