Beautifully built lighthouse, with enough room for a decent group of 6-10 people. Went there with a close friends (couple) and my husband. Enjoyed every moment of it. The owner is very eccentric indeed, but very easy fellow to get along with. He let us use a skiff to travel to town and back for more supplies when we needed (there somehow was never enough wine...) so we did get to explore the cute town of Sitka. Overall, an amazing experience. Would've given 5 stars, but the hot tub doesn't work anymore, and it doesn't sound like he ever plans on fixing it.

Watching a sunset, with eagles circling overhead, sitting in the hot tub, as Island folks' scurry back and forth to the main land. The wind blows gently though your hair and you wonder if there is anything more peaceful on earth.

The owner is a delightful, if a bit eccentric, host as he shuttles you out to your very own island lighthouse experience.

While the weather can be a bit sketchy for us sun-laden easterners, once the adjustment is made, it is absolutely delightful.

Rockwell light is an experience not to be missed.

I prefer a winter stay when the surf is crashing on the rocks below the hot tub and the snow is falling.

A unique place.
