“This motel has improved”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

Sorry it has taken me so long, but it slipped my mind to be honest. I returned back to Luray in August and was there for my family reunion. It was nice to be home again and to see some familiar faces. We decided to stay here to be close to family and friends. The first time we stayed in 2007 we had nothing but problems. Much to my surprise I couldn't believe the many changes. It was clean and the beds were very comfortable. My hats off to the cleaning staff they did a great job. When we arrived we were greated warmly with that southern charm. I saw an old friend who worked there Paula Price, I couldn't believe my eyes. The kids loved the pool and the putt putt golf course. The place is definately much better and we are planning on staying there everytime we go home to visit. Thanks to you and your staff for making our stay an enjoyable one.

“Wonderful surroundings”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 November 2011

The hotel is located outside of town with beautiful views all around. The room was was small and clean and with little time spent in the room it was acceptable. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was a typical continental style with pastries, juice, cold cereal, oatmeal, etc. The staff was pleasant and informative.
I was surprised by the small TV (looked to be about a 20 inch). The WIFI was my major problem. Couldn't get reception from the room and even when I was by the lobby I was dropped frequently to the point I gave up.

“Overcharged for a deteriorating room”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 October 2011

We stayed at this motel in Luray for a recent wedding. We booked early on the Days Inn website with the cheapest rate we could find ($152). After we arrived, we learned other guests staying for the wedding were paying less, but when we spoke with the front desk, we only got excuses and run-around. And the room was in serious need of renovation! The bathroom door wouldn't close shut, the sheets and tub were dingy, the towel rack was loose, and the furniture was in rough shape. Although the location is close to Luray Caverns, this motel (with exterior entrances) is not worth the money. Stay some place else!! Of my reviews, this is the lowest I've ever rated a motel.

Room Tip: Stay elsewhere if you want a good room.

“Feeling like Family Yet all the Conveniences Of a Grand Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 September 2011

Although this is a brand new hotel with absolutely all the amenities the people who work here are so like family they will do anything to help one feel more comfortable than when they are at home. Located off a major Skyline Drive exit, not far from the Town of Luray with all its shops, cafes, galleries, and history yet just far enough away for the privacy that camping gives one. Nice spacious rooms, coffee always available, snacks too. Marvelous 'Continental Breakfast served much longer than usual, helpful staff, and stunning, super clean rooms! Highly recommend. Recommend sandwiches from the Deli in town for an afternoon picnic up on the Skyline Drive or on the 'Riverwalk' right in town. Try not to overfeed the ducks, lol! Ok I had a b, l, t on rye toast. How can that be 'improved'? Thin perfectly toasted rye, thinly sliced (and plenty of them) RED (not orange) garden ripened tomatoes, crispy (lots of it) smoked maple flavored bacon, crunchy hunks of lettuce (again from the garden) and best ever...home-made mayo!! Yummy!!

This Days Inn is located outside the nice town of Luray in a beautiful place joining nature and space. You can see the mountains and flowers 360º from room. Excelente breakfast, WIFI, service, cofeee, newspapers. Best choice in town.
