“OK place to rest while in Santa Fe”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 December 2011

We spent a night at the Comfort Inn while passing through Santa Fe and found it an ok place-- not fancy, by any stretch, but clean and comfortable.
The good: lots of parking, easy to find, and a great breakfast, plus a nice fireplace in the lobby to greet you. Room was clean and everything appeared to be functional. No bugs!!!
The not-so-good: the hotel appears to need some TLC-- carpets are visibly worn, hallway doors were bent and wouldn't close right, and the equipment in the hotel was noisy (A/C, refrigerator in our room, toilets-- even the Emergency exit sign outside our door buzzed all night.
On the other hand, cost was pretty good compared to other hotels in the area, so it was a good value.

“Relaxing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 November 2011

Very comfortable suite with two queen size beds and sitting area. Enjoyed the warm breakfast and loved the jacuzzi since they have the jacuzzi area open until midnight. I was happily surprised with the buffet breakfast since they have a large variety of hot and cold items for your selection. Loved it!

Room Tip: Ask for the suite and get directions since it is behind a mattress store.

“Comfort Inn NOT”

The motel is 80's vintage. Dim lighting in hall ways. Rooms very old and smelled bad. The staff were clueless when checking in and checking out. On check in the staff told us to use a separate entrance other than the front of the hotel to get to our room with the luggage. We tried it but you would have to climb stairs up and down to get there and with a luggage cart, forget it! Upon check out we were told there was no one by our name in the room we were in. After several minutes of arguing with the clerk they found, they had used my husband's middle name, not his last name.

“Nice stay”

Wefound the room to be large, and clean. Nicely appointed. Plenty of TV stations, and fridge and coffee maker. The spa was nice, and they had an exercise room, which we didn't use.The nice suprise was breakfast, which included sausage and eggs, They also had hot waffles, and a good selection of fruits and cereal plus muffins and toast. We thought this property was nice and we were glad we stayed here.

“It was a pleasurable experience as the hotel facilities were nice and the staff even nicer.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 September 2011

The only downside to the hotel was it was tricky to get back into the parking lot when coming from downtown due the the way the roads were configured. Once you learned the way, however, it was no problem. Don't hesitate to ask the staff for directions and recommendations for things to do and to do or places to dine. They are helpful and we found their recommendations, right on.
