My wife and I wanted to spend the weekend of our 52nd Anniversary in Santa Fe. We had stayed before at Fort Marcy Resort Suites and knew that it is comfortable, quaint, and easy to find in a city that is wonderful, but can be a little confusing for a first time visitor. The information needed to find this Resort was easy to follow and the property is very close to the center of Santa Fe.
We were in a very comfortable, two BR Suite, with a kitchenette, a well decorated dining area, living room with TV and a fireplace. The rooms were cozy quiet and wonderfully decorated in traditional Santa Fe style.
Ft. Marcy is centrally located among the mesquite and pinion tree covered hills of 7300ft. Santa Fe. It is close the the Ski Resort and to the Santa Fe Opera as well as the Historic downtown area around the Plaza. Canyon Street, with it's many beautiful Art Galleries is just minutes away.
Ft. Marcy is on the site of an old Civil War era Fort that was part of the protection that was provided for early settlers. There is much to learn in the area. It is such a lot of fun to tour around the old downtown area and visit the unique shopping on the Plaza.
The service was great and the office personnel were very helpful in providing maps and information on places we wanted to visit. We had a truly wonderful time there and enjoyed an exquisite dinner at a nearby fine restaurant with a glorious Piano Bar. Ask about it and don't miss it. Don't miss staying at Ft. Marcy either.
