“Romantic getaway”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

A beautifully unique, boutique style hotel within 2 blocks of downtown Santa Fe. Most of the rooms are adobe style “little houses”. Our room included a Kiva styled fireplace with all the wood you could burn. We ordered room service for breakfast and enjoyed the privacy of our cozy room, which had a separate secluded bedroom.
Had dinner at Fuego…had a great meal and enjoyed the large, warm fireplace.
Bring your dog...the staff will walk them for you!
Lots of art in the building, old artist colony; has a very friendly bar/ lounge area.
The Spa was pricey but worth it!
Would stay again…used a Living Social discount.

Dear Deeweechaz,

Thank you for the great review. With the Valentine ’s Day season I love the title. La Posada can be a great Romantic Getaway. The warm rooms and cozy fireplaces set a great mood to relax and enjoy yourself.

Also, great to hear that the dog enjoyed his stay. We love having pets and it always seems that they get as much attention as the owners. Some almost become celebrities around the property.

We look forward to your return.

“So disappointed!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

The only good part of this hotel was the location in Santa Fe.
Both windows in the room were broken, the cranks did not work, and one of the windows did not have a screen, while the other one did. The carpet was very worn. The wall above the kiva fireplace was totally black...needed to be cleaned and painted. There was a scale in the bathroom, that really did not need to be there, and looked so old and used it needed to be thrown in the trash. The shower curtain had a big stain on it. There was not enough light in the bathroom and there was no place to hang a towel. The door sill going into the bathroom had the screws sticking up so that if you stepped on one it would cut your foot. The gym never had the trash emptied the three days we were there. None of the weights matched. Two of the three treadmills had out of order signs on them. The rear entry door to the main building had the latch hanging from one screw.
Fortunately the employees were friendly.

Dear Leslie Ann Justic,

First, thank you for the mention of our staff. I appreciate the time you took to do this review. I also appreciate that you put your name on it. I was distressed when I read this review. It is not the experience we provide. Thanks to the inclusion of your name I was able to identify the room and inspect this with several members of my team to correct all the items mentioned.

I apologize that you had these inconveniences. I would love to speak with you about personalizing a return stay that would exceed all expectations. Please feel free to call me at any point.

“Just a spa experience”

Took my 14 year old daughter for her first spa experience. She had a facial and enjoyed it. I had a relaxing massage. It was expensive but worth it.

Dear Hamlet20,

So glad you enjoyed a mother daughter experience at our Spa. Having two kids of my own I know how great these times can be and the memories that they create. Jennifer Hubbard our Spa Director has done some amazing thing in the short time that she has been here. This combined with our wonderful staff has lead to many experiences just like yours.

We look forward to your next visit.

“Will be back any time!”

La Posada Resort in Santa Fe is an excellent alternative for a great vacation. The hotel has a great location, it is closed to everything. The accommodations were great; we really love the coziness of the room. The treatment received by the employees was outstanding. We will be back any time!!!!

Dear Karen M,

Thank you for the great review. I'm so glad you enjoyed the stay. We love having our friends from Texas come and visit. I saw the picture on the review and just wanted to let you know that the snow in Santa Fe is great. If you're looking for a reason to come back any time ski conditions could be the excuse.

Look forward to your return.

“Disappointed”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 January 2012

Recently my girlfriends and I booked this hotel using Jetsetter and we were extremely excited about a little girls get away at the La Posada Resort in Santa Fe. We had heard such wonderful things about the property and one of my friends had stayed here before and had a great experience. Ours though, was not so wonderful. We booked a suite with a patio and fireplace for the four of us to stay and when we got to our room the pull out couch only slept one person. At first we didn't really see a huge problem there since there was plenty of space for us to put a cot, however we were unable to get a cot that evening. The resort staff was unable to access the housekeeping closet where the cots were stored so one of our friends had to sleep on the floor the first night.

With one bad nights sleep behind us we decided to explore the city some the next day and go shopping & wine tasting. When we went to get our car there was no valet at the stand and we waited over 15 minutes until someone came to get our ticket and pull the vehicle around. We didn't want this to dampen our spirits as SURELY this was one misunderstanding..unfortunately this was the theme of our stay. The front desk clerks acted put out that our friend asked her about the airport and getting a taxi for her. Clearly stating that she didn't order taxi's and it was the concierges job to do such,....even when the concierge had a sign on his desk to see the front desk for help. The wait staff at the hotel bar was hostile and rude making us feel like we were a burden to them ordering dinner and drinks our last night at the resort and when the food finally arrived it was cold and the fish and chips was VERY fishy tasting.

Finally to top it all off, when we went to check out and I received my bill (even though it was prepaid through Jetsetter) we realized that had over paid Jetsetter by 300.00 and couldn't get any types of discounts. While we were discussing the bill, the valets were to be pulling around my car and putting my luggage in it..instead they loaded my luggage into another guests car and they drove off into the NM sun with my bags. Nobody took ownership of the situation, the valets just pointed at each other and said..I didn't do it.

Needless to say we were extremely excited about the hotel and it didn't meet any of our expectations. The chocolate milk was delicious and the car service was very helpful. That was the highlight of stay at La Posada.

Dear Christywright,

My apologizes for the issues during the stay. I was the person that greeted you on arrival and also came to speak with you when the bag was accidentally taken by the wrong guest. I had already taken the time to take your comments back to the staff. I can assure you that the items mentioned were addressed. I wish to offer my personal service if you decide to return to the area. I would be more than happy to make sure that a return stay with us would exceed your expectations.

Thank you for taking the time on the review.
