We were in Santa Fe for a wedding and many guests stayed here. The people behind the desk were helpful and friendly; when the AC in our room wouldn't cool, maintenance came within five to ten minutes. We had to switch rooms because of the AC which was a pain, but they put us in a bigger room with great AC. The rooms need to be updated so they aren't so dark. White bedding, new lighter carpets would really improve the looks and brightness of the rooms. That's why we gave it only a three in cleanliness. The bathrooms were fine with some amenities like shampoo and lotion. We would stay here again because of the location but would enjoy it more if it were updated. Free wifi and free parking are bonuses. It has potential with some TLC.

This motel is very conveniently located for visiting the Plaza and surrounding restaurants/retail shops. The facility is in dire need of repairs, both to the outside structure and to the rooms.

Garrett's is one of those Santa Fe "tourist courts" that has been renovated a bit. It has "old school" tile and porcelain bathrooms. It's location--one block from the Plaza makes it ideal for events like Spanish Market, Indian market, etc. The Pink Adobe is just up the street.

Garrett's rooms all have outside entrances. The parking lot is large and closed, but not gated. They do allow paid public parking. The rooms have a TINY TV, no fridge, no safe. Rooms are dark and two lamps didn't work (no bulbs) in my room. Take an extension cord. The outlets are inconveniently located.

Having said that, Garrett's rooms are clean, have internet access and one can easily walk the Plaza and surrounding area. Garrett's may well have the best showerhead I've seen in a hotel. It is a large 12" and flows perfectly. The tub drains like a champ. They could use an extended curtain, but the shower is good!

We spent three nights here recently. My only complaint would be that the air conditioning was rather loud, otherwise, the accommodations were nice for the price. The swimming pool was small, but clean and my boys were happy to be able to jump in in the heat of the day.
