“Great boutique inn with a great location”

The Inn on the Alameda is a small inn about three blocks from the Plaza and one block from the start of Canyon Rd. The rooms were nice and reasonably priced, the staff were friendly. There is a great breakfast (included with the rooms) in the morning, with a terrific range of foods included gluten-free and vegan items. There is also a happy hour in the afternoon with free snacks, wine, and beer. Both of these take place in the Inn's common area, an inviting room with a kiva fireplace. There is also a large (and free) parking lot. We really enjoyed staying here and will stay again on our next trip.

“What a great experience.”

We stayed at the Inn in December with another couple. The inn was very clean, the staff were terrific, the breakfast was a pleasant surprise and it was a great experience. We all felt the staff went out of their way to make sure we had a great experience.
They didn't advertise the fact that a gluten free breakfast entree is served daily, along with GF muffins and breads, which is a big deal if you cannot injest gluten.
This is a charming place and we will return.
Thanks, INN ON THE ALAMEDA for making my husband's birthday trip so special.

“The customer is right, even when they're wrong”

We arrived at the Inn after a somewhat fractious negotiation of Santa Fe traffic and checked in. I carefully initialed the check-in and check-out dates and went for a snooze. Suddenly I realised I had booked for one night too few so straight to the front desk. No problem, we will upgrade the guest due to stay in your room and you don't have to move. This was typical of the great service we received at the Inn.

The location is excellent with an easy walk to the centre of Santa Fe and the Canyon Road Galleries are just across the street. Convenient but quiet. Our room was large and beautifully furnished in an understated traditional style with excellent bed and bathroom. We had a small balcony to sit on but because of the layout of the buildings it was mostly in shade; perhaps an advantage in summer heat but a little September sun would have been nice.

The buffet breakfast had a terrific range of home made dishes, breads and pastries and in the afternoon there was "happy hour" when complimentary wine, coffee, tea and snacks were served. There did not seem to be a conventional bar which I found surprising in a hotel of this type; certainly when we came in after an evening meal it would have been nice to sit and have a night-cap

Staff were always helpful and provided advice on local hikes and events, there was an office area for internet access and of course free wifi.

“Wonderful place and great location”

The Inn on the Alameda has great clean rooms and the staff is very attentive to details. Room was always kept very clean. The breakfast was awesome - great buffet. There is a fabulous wine and cheese hour every afternoon. Reception was extremely helpful in anything needed. Location is only several blocks from the Plaza square. We had stayed at another hotel previously at a higher cost and much prefer the Inn on the Alameda. Very relaxing sitting around the fire in January.

“Great for most part”

Overall great stay. Wine and cheese deal included in stay is too short, and the bar closed at 7 on a Thursday night. We arrived from a long drive, wanted a drink before dinner, but bar was closed. Still, fair deal, nice room, fair price.
