“An Amazing Birthday Weekend!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2012

We stayed at Wildwood Manor over the three day Martin Luther King weekend for my birthday. It was one of the best birthday weekends I have had in a very long time! The inn and the setting are both beautiful and very private and I can't say enough about how wonderful both Michael and John were as hosts. By the end of the weekend it felt like we had made two new friends when we left.

The Decatur room was lovely with a comfortable bed and linens, great shower, and very comfortable loveseat. Each room has a tv with cable and DVD as well as wireless. It snowed while we were in Friday Harbor and they have an extensive collection of DVD's so we had a lovely day of relaxing in the room.

I can't rave enough about the food and hospitality either. The breakfasts in the morning were wonderful with the favorite being either blueberry buttermilk waffles or the homemade biscuit. Michael even double-checked that we didn't have any food requirements (allergies, vegetarian, etc.) so we could have the best options. He also helped us pick out a wonderful place for a birthday dinner (delicious) and had some great tips for the area. The coffee in the morning was wonderful and they had a nook fully stocked with some snacks, glasses, wine openers, and anything else you might need.

We are already thinking about when we could go back. Thank you again for a fantastic weekend!

Room Tip: All the rooms were gorgeous but we loved the Decatur room with peekaboo views and the feeling of an...

“Fantastic - Don't miss this!”

We stayed at Wildwood Manor for a week, Monday to Saturday, and it could not have been a more wonderful experience. Michael's breakfasts were fantastic and delicious, and he even accommodated a gluten free diet for one of us! The house, furnishings, decorating, and gardens are gorgeous with not one single touch missing. Everything is tranquil, beautiful, and a constant delight. It is just a paradise on the island. Michael made sure we had a lovely dinner reservation each night, gave great and helpful advice to make our island adventures more perfect, and saw to our every need. Each night it felt just like coming home to our own beautiful, comfortable, tranquil haven! We didn't want to leave Wildwood, and we will be sure to return as soon as we are able to again. Just don't miss a chance to experience these wonderful, gracious hosts and this fantastic B&B. You will love this place & take away such great memories! Tom & Yvonne/OR

Room Tip: Any - we stayed in two during our stay--they were both charming & beautiful.

“Perfect!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 October 2011

Our three day stay at Wildwood Manor could not have been nicer. The inn itself, and the setting, are marvelous. The breakfasts were outstanding. Most importantly, Michael (John was away) was extraordinarily friendly and helpful. We are grateful to him for making sure we took his binoculars and parking pass for Lime Kiln point when we went out for a drive one day. Because of his suggestions, we had a delightful afternoon watching orcas parade past the point. When we arrived for our dinner reservations in Roche Harbor, the hostess told us our table was by the window overlooking the harbor, because Michael had made our reservations. And when we had to leave very early (6:30 a.m.) on our final day to catch the early ferry, Michael had made up bag breakfasts for us to take with us on the ferry. We have never stayend anywhere better than this.

“Like going home again”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 October 2011

We had our second stay at Wildwood Manor recently, and we felt like we were home again. We would never consider another place for a short stay in the San Juan Islands. Michael and John are friendly and highly attentive hosts running a top-flight B&B. The clean, comfortable, tastefully finished and furnished rooms have all the amenities we expected in a great house. The grounds are attractive, with ample space to relax.

They serve creative and delicious breakfasts that have to be seen and eaten to be believed. They are also well prepared with options or recommendations for tourists' questions, and helpful with reservations and introductions.

We think this is a not-to-be-missed place to stay!

“It's all been said - a perfect get away!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 October 2011

From the time we were greeted on the front porch when we arrived by Michael, to the picture John snapped of us in front of the house as we left, our time was perfect! The reviews are all correct - the house is lovely and well appointed, the innkeepers warm and gracious, the breakfasts gourmet. So, a few things specific to our stay and what hit us - when you're new in a place you want to maximize your time and Michael right away, made suggestions about what we should do, helping us map out our couple of days there. Within about 30 minutes, he'd made dinner reservations for all 3 nites, and suggested our itenerary for the days (which included a wonderful day trip to Orcas Island). It left us free to just enjoy ourselves. The specifics Michael provided were spot on - "get to the Ferry by xyz time, put your car in line and lock it up," "During the Fall you won't find a toll taker at the booth at Orcas so park your car and go down the hill to get your ticket". Great tips for making the most of our time. And Michael made us feel so comfortable and at home. With Michael's recommendation of potters to visit on Orcas, we have a beautiful piece of pottery in our home to remember our trip. It was perfect!

Room Tip: We enjoyed the back of the house - Decatur Room. It was very spacious and had a distant water view.
