We stayed here two mid-week nights and I haven't felt this relaxed in a long time. Large, understated, well-decorated room (33), with the most spectacular view of the harbor. Moved both of the room's chairs in front of the window, where we sat for hours talking, reading, doing crossword puzzles, sipping coffee/wine. The bed was a little small but very comfortable. Large tub opens into the bedroom and could be closed off by a curtain. Furniture was a little worn but no problem for us. We never heard a peep from any other guests or staff while in our room. Had fun a some local restaurants, poking around the stores, walking the town. But really, with that view it was just so nice to get back to the room and hang out. Great continental breakfast included in room rate. Quiet, efficient staff stay in the background but happy to assist. Walk-on the ferry and this becomes a no-brainer for a stress-free romantic getaway. (Grocery store is just around the corner so it's easy to pick up snacks and wine.)

My husband and I visited Friday harbor while on a trip to Seattle. The Friday Harbor House was very comfortable and romantic with a beautiful view of the sound! FHH is very convenient to get to from the ferry dock if you do not have a car with you. There are several wonderful dining options within walking distance.

Their breakfast is very good in the morning! The island itself is beautiful, we wish we had been there to see the whales!

We wanted a "walk off the ferry and be in the middle of it" hotel and we were greeted with a friendly welcome, an updated room with a lovely fireplace and balcony. It was exactly what we wanted! The staff were extremely friendly and gave helpful recommendations. We dined at the Bluff restaurant in the hotel and the chef treated us to an excellent tasting menu that exceeded our expectations. The morning continental breakfast was home-made granola and fresh muffins and fruit among other things. Fresh and delicious. We would come back and stay here again!

We stayed for four nights in room 12 on the ground floor, harbor side. It was a spacious, clean and well appointed room. The tub was relaxing and the gas fire place and hot chocolate were nice touches. We found the breakfast to be good and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. In particular Joe was great to deal with. We would definitely stay there again.
