Being a newly wed couple, 1 year- I was nervous to make sure we had a great time together- no worries. I can not emphasize enough how the staff went out of their way to arrange and execute a weekend my wife and I will never forget. Yes I know all to well Westin is a premier hotelier- but it is truly the people that convey the experience and the culture of a company that the people are in that makes a difference.
I asked them to have fun with us in helping arrange our full and secretive weekend experience- all complete surprise to my wife- and they did. We got a million dollar experience for the right price and trust we will be forever grateful.
The problem now is that I found most other folks first anniversaries compared to ours- made their husbands look poor and wives angry for knowing us… not to mention I have set the bar very high for our subsequent anniversaries. A forewarning now to any future staff- start thinking now- we gotta beat this one next year! Thank you Jamie/ David, Front Desk and Service Express staff and Woodhouse Spas- Job well done!

I really liked this hotel. The room was clean, and modern with balcony to step out onto. When you book ask for a river view room because if you get a city view you will not get any sleep from the traffic and sirens below. the staff was excellent.

The only drawback is that I went out walking alone to site see and found the surroundings to be dangerous. There were a lot of homeless people asking for money and a lot of groups of young adults standing around. I got the feeling I was going to be mugged by the groups of people standing around with no reason for being there.

This hotel is within walking distance of the Alamo, a mission, the hard rock, and of course it is on the river walk. I thought the river walk would be nicer, it was more like a dirty canal and ended in odd places at the street above with no signage of how to continue on below.

Stayed at this Westin about once a week for 7-8 months. LOVE the hotel. The staff is amazing, the rooms are great, and the location is ideal. The gym is solid and there's a nice little pool if you've got time for a swim. Room service here is wonderful. The restaurant, Zucca, is a solid choice for any meal. And there are a ton of great restaurants a short walk away, as well! (My personal favorite is Sushi Zushi, right down the street.) Definitely stay at the Westin Riverwalk, for business or for pleasure!

My wife adn I have unusual dietary needs--not only were they met with superior food, the personal concern of sous chef Eugene Sclaff was exceptional. Don't miss eating there. The hotel is one of our favorites too, very comfortable, great staff, and the location is on the Riverwalk yet a bit removed from the congestion.
