We checked in after a 16 hour drive and were given a room key to a room which was already occupied. The staff was very friendly and accomodating and upgraded us to a suite. The upgrade was in room size only as the suite itself was dirty and outdated, other than the T.V. which was a newer flatscreen. The neighborhood around the hotel was obviously not desirable and on at least two occasions the police were called to the hotel for disturbances which we could hear. Housekeeping made our beds on the first day, but not the second because a duffle bag was left on one of the beds. They stated their policy was not to move customer property, although they had done so the day before. The continental breakfast is nothing spectacular and is typical of other hotels. When we went to checkout early in the morning after our 4th night (around 5:00 am) it took us 20 minutes to get someone to assist us. It would have been longer had I not walked into the office to wake up the desk clerk who I found sleeping. The purpose for our stay was to visit our son at Lackland Air Force Base and the hotel is convenient for this, but the addage of you get what you pay for certainly applies. If it weren't for the friendliness of the staff I would have rated this hotel lower, however I will not stay here when I come back in the spring.

The room was clean and comfortable. It was a great value for the price. The service was pleasant and helpful.

I stayed here overnight with friends for a wedding. Overall my experience was good. The only problem we had was with the AC not working properly when we first arrived. We left for a couple of hours and came back; it still didn't work. We called the front desk and they sent someone to fix the problem. The room and bathroom were clean. It's one of the nicer La Quinta's I've stayed at. Plus, you can't beat the price.

My family stayed here Sat-Monday to visit Seaworld and a few other attractions around town. We arrived on Sat afternoon and the staff were very friendly. They gave us our room key and also coupons to Seaworld. These tickets actually saved us A LOT of money. We were able to go twice. They also were able to tell us what restauraunts were good and close and how to get to Seaworld. The breakfast was basic cereal,muffins,coffee. The morning staff was pleasant and even offered to open the pool early for my daughter to swim before check out. Like some of the other reviews stated.. yes you are by a field where you can hear the band playing on Sat night, but by 10pm it has all cleared out. The room was clean and had all the basic necessities. Several places to eat near by and close to the freeway. We will definately stay here anytime we visit SA in the future!!!
