Made the reservations three months ahead of time for a business convention. Called and requested a handicapped room with roll in shower. Was assured there were those facilities available and we would be accommodated. Called one month ahead to verify and then called one week ahead to verify. When we got to the designated area to register, we had to stand in line from 2:30 until 6:00 even with the reservations. Some staff members were carrying trays of ice water to the hundred or so people standing in lines or sitting by their suitcases in the lobby. When we finally got to register, the trip to my room was past 28 room. I walk with a walker. When we got to the room we were astonished to see that the roll in shower we had requested were not honored. My husband went back downstairs to see if one was available. The management told us if they had something come open they would change us the next day.
That change never happened. Upon leaving we told the management that the housekeeping staff was great, the rooms tidy and clean, but we were deeply disappointed in the arrangements that had been made FAR in advance for our handicapped needs. The manager just shrugged his shoulders and said, "First come first served." Good to know.. no matter how endearing the staff was in helping us with our needs... the management lost it for our twice a year conference stay.
