My mother, sister and I just finished a 3 night, 4 day stay at the Holiday Inn Express Rivercenter for our semi-annual girl's trip. I chose this hotel because of the free parking, complementary breakfast, free wi-fi, shuttle service and close proximity to the Riverwalk. We could not have been more pleased with the level of service at this property. On the first day we arrived 3 hours before check-in and Stephanie was nice enough to let us check early so we could change and get rid of our luggage. We rented a car and there was ample free parking available unlike the $18 per day at hotels on the Riverwalk. Our shuttle driver each night, Joey, was the absolute best! He was so informative and friendly. The shuttle ran every half hour on the hour until 10:30pm and we never had any issues with being able to take it. The breakfast in the morning is not only free but they also offered hot items such as eggs, pancakes, and biscuits and gravy. It was too cold for the pool but people were using the hot tub and the pool area was clean and well-kept. The business center was available with a computer and a wide range of free local information. The printing is free, which came in handy for printing off a coupon for dinner. Mahesh, the General Manager came around during our breakfast to make sure we were satisfied with our stay thusfar which we greatly appreciated. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. If I absolutely have to find any small thing to complain about, then I will admit that one morning at breakfast there were cheese omelets that had hardened under the heat lamp. Other than that, the lighting in the room (at least for 3 women) was pretty insufficient and the area east of the hotel is pretty sketchy. Overall a very pleasant stay and we would stay again!!
