“A totally charming experience!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

I absolutely adored this charming hotel, from the moment I checked in, to the moment I had to leave. The whole experience was surreal, like stepping back in time, when service and quality really meant something.
There seems to be no small touch that isn't provided at this hotel. Breakfast in the morning, a snack in the afternoon, wine at five, a teddy bear on every bed, luxurious bathroom.

This hotel is perfectly placed for the Convention Centre, and Riverwalk, and due to this my room was actually was used as a stop off point for all my colleagues attending my conference.
The innkeepers were so friendly and full of great information.
I will return here as soon as I can.

Room Tip: You can't choose a bad room here.

“Charm of the Forties”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 January 2012

The moment I entered the hotel, I felt I had walked into an Edward Hopper city scene from he forties. It is a quiet, charming retreat. The rooms retain classic window sills and brick accent walls, and the bathrooms have the natural elegance of slate tile showers and granite counters. Very comfortable, great for a simple romantic getaway. The only shortfall is that, due to the limited number of rooms, they fill up at peak travel times. The last couple of times I tried to return they were sold out. If you want to stay here on popular dates, book early.

“Historic hotel, Inn, and B&B in one + Perfect Views”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 December 2011

Wow! What a find! This historic hotel has the best of an inn, hotel, and B&B in one! Like a perfect inn, the rooms are super-spacious, with 14 ft. windows (ours had 4! -a corner room), wooden floors, and character. Yet, like every great hotel, the room has a modern slate shower with great soaps, its own coffee/hot tea station, and a flat panel TV. And like every B&B worth its salt, this place has scrumptious breakfast waiting in the morning. Quiche, fresh breads, fruit, oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, eggs, all yummy! It really is a perfect blend. There are old, hand-made vintage quilts that share the halls with old photos, both a lovely touch. Feeling the history, while enjoying modern amenities was the key. Did I mention the complimentary cookies at 3 or wine at 5? Oh, and our room had its own beta fish is a vase! We named him Eski!

“The Perfect Location in San Antonio”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 December 2011

We stayed one night for our anniversary. The staff was wonderful --the room was very clean--the atmosphere was warm and inviting. They have done a great job of turning a historic warehouse into a charming 17 room boutique hotel. It was just steps down to the Riverwalk and a very short stroll to River Center and the Alamo. We would definitely stay at the Riverwalk Vista again.

Room Tip: We stayed in 304. It had a nice view.

“Charming”

This renovated, boutique hotel is close to everything! Our third floor room overlooked the Riverwalk with its twinkling Christmas lights. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was spacious and well kept. The bed was super comfortable! I loved the photos of old San Antonio decorating the common areas. It was a fantastic Christmas in San Antonio experience.
