This hotel would have been fine if you could go into the room and not think about how the grounds of the hotel looked or what was happening outside your room. (See photo.) The room was spotless and for being simply furnished, was still attractive.
I guess my first impression when I walked to the room was, "Whew! This place is really a mess!" To get the room, one had to pass trash piled up beside the front building. Not sure why this wasn't in a dumpster. When I remarked about it the clerk said that it would be picked up in a day or so. As we walked across the parking lot there was a dirty hand towel on the ground. On the exterior hall near our room there was a used washcloth.

KEYS ! I put this word in large letters, because we had continuous problems trying to get into our room. I went to the desk three times to get our key cards changed because we couldn't get into the room. On the third trip, the maid was in the office and opened our door with her key. It was hot and a long way to the office, so this was not good!

A third problem at this hotel was a young woman who was drunk and sat out in her SUV blowing the horn continuously. Occasionally she would come into the office to yell at the staff. They had called her husband to come get her, but it was at least 20 minutes before anyone arrived. Another guest asked me later what had happened; he said he saw a man open a car door and drag a young woman across the parking lot into his car. Why didn't they just notify the police in the first place ?

We will still use the Motel 6 chain, but just not this location.

yes this is not a 5 star hotel, it is a budget motel. the entire staff here is awesome and they love my pets!! housekeeping is great!! maintanance man is hot & great. rooms are very clean & pool is clean. this is a great motel. they keep it clean and very great staff. i love my stays here. if u want extravagence go stay @ hilton, if u want clean, cozy & a friendly atmosphere stay here. they make me feel like family.

This Motel 6 touted that it's been remodeled and is remarkable. On the contrary! The "new" style of Motel 6 (you can see photos on the website) looks okay in photos, but much much worse in person. FWIW, I prefer the old-style, carpeted rooms over this remodeled ones with laminated wood floors (that stick to the bottom of our shoes). All the renovation work was done cheaply and does not endure the test of time.

The room we were given (first floor) was quite gross. Bathroom vanity was damaged, and the room smelled very strongly of bleach. However, the worst thing is that now with laminated floors (instead of carpet), we can hear every step made by the people upstairs. It was loud as thunder; so after 15 minutes, we decided that there's no way we can sleep with thundering footsteps above.

We returned to front desk and requested a 2nd floor room; and was told the only 2nd floor rooms left available are the ones facing the Interstate. Even with the loud traffic noise, we opted for that instead of footsteps.

The second room is less worn out than the first, but still, the icky laminated floors is gross. The noise from the Interstate is loud but tolerable - I wear earplugs anyway.

It's a shame that this property has only been renovated a few years ago, yet all the wear and tear shows much faster in the new "hip" style. It actually looks cheap to me rather than hip; like a college dorm room.

My husband and I were in San Antonio on business and decided to save money & stay at Motel 6 for the weekend. HUGE MISTAKE! The first room we checked into had dirty comforters and no working wifi. Since we had already purchased a wifi card from the hotel, we expected it to work. The front desk attendant informed us that only some rooms had wifi "some" of the time, so we switched rooms. The wifi was in & out all weekend. The first room we had faced the busy highway, so it was very bright & noisy [difficult to sleep]. There are train tracks directly behind the hotel, so you can expect a few loud whistles during the night. The mattresses were very uncomfortable & worn out. The rooms had no smoking symbols, but had ashtrays & smelled very much like cigarettes. It was very hard to find a parking spot near our room due to the layout of the hotel. I was pretty concerned with parking my vehicle so far from my room. It didn't exactly seem like a nice part of town after dark [24hr adult video store is the hotel's neighbor]. The floors were some kind of cheap laminate. It was disgusting! Newly remodeled?? I don't think so! I will never again "save money" when it comes to hotels or stay at a Motel 6. We were so disgusted that we actually left the hotel a night before we had planned. We could not stand to be there any longer. My recommendation: STAY AWAY from this hotel!
