First, we booked a non-smoking room and ended up with a smoking room. And I mean SMOKING. It just reeked. Management was unsympathetic. There was also a lot of construction going on, even on Saturday evening.

The walls were flimsy as we heard kids partying until 2-3 in the morning.

Otherwise, it was okay. Clean & hot water and we at least got the king bed we requested.

Nothing fancy, but it's clean and nice. Unfortunately, one morning the toilet broke, and though I called, it wasn't fixed. By nighttime, there was no one to fix it, so we had to move to another room for our final night. But the front desk was apologetic.

Visiting San Antonio for the Livestock Show, we were very happy with this La Quinta. It is one of the nicest we have stayed in. There is an indoor pool which we didn't have time to use, but nice none the less. Very good continental breakfast and very courteous employees. Access was easy to and from the show facilities and we have recommended it highly. Much easier and nicer than staying downtown and fighting the traffic. We will definitely be back next year.
