normally I LOVE La Quinta's but this one let me down. The customer service was friendly and helpful so that wasnt a problem, and we got lucky with getting a room last minute since we were on a road trip and decided to stop randomly for the night. As for the room it left something to be desired. It looked ok at first glance but I've been a little paranoid about bedbugs since i've seen on the news that they're starting to flair up throughout the US. So after turning over the mattresses and looking under the sheets i saw just how dirty the room was. Under the sheets of one bed i found crumbs or something and hair (gross), if they just took the time to properly launder the bedding it shouldnt have been like this. Under the other bed, which was cleaner thank GOD we found 5 Corona bottles, 2 empty 3 full. Dates on the bottles were from 2005 so who KNOWS how long they'd been there. I checked all the other furniture and noticed in the crack of one of the chairs it was just SO dirty, old crumbs and hair and random grossness in there, where once again if they would just CLEAN it could be taken care of. Luckily the bathroom appeared cleaner than the sleeping area. Still I was overall unimpressed and grossed out by the room.

Air conditioner was extremely loud and I had to keep it off just to decrease the noise. The hot water did not work the second night and that next morning. The manager told me he would call me to decrease the amount I paid due to the inconvenience, but never did. The closet was really dusty and my clothes got dirty on the shelf. I would of paid a little more to of had a nicer stay somewhere else.

The clerk Leticia and the general manager Karim Kissou are some of the most non-caring and rude people that I have ever witnessed in the hotel industry. Mr. Kissou was insulting and referred to the 4 schools that were staying there as "a bunch of small town pigs who let their kids run around like animals in a zoo". The staff and management refused to except any responsibility for their faulty alarm system and would not honor their policy of 100 percent refund for being unsatisfied. The alarm system went off 6 times throughout the night and twice in the morning and they still denied it was a faulty system. The clerk Leticia, who was busy reading a magazine, told a customer that was advising of a spill for her to go find housekeeping. Mr. Kissou's final words were I don't care if any of you ever come back. So Mr. Kissou I won't.
