This was my first stay at a La Quinta and I was pleasantly surprised. For the price I paid per night, $69, I wasn't expecting much and in fact, was a bit concerned, as prices in the area for comparably rated hotels are much higher. The property was attractive, clean, easy access to the freeway, and continental breakfast was exactly as advertised. Room was smaller than other "suite" hotels I've visited, but perfectly sufficient for my needs. As other reviews had stated, there were signs of "age" and "wear" on carpets and furniture- but everything was very clean- which is what's most important to me. The things that could be improved: 1- the fridge in my room still had the previous occupant's take-out container of fish- a bit smelly but not a big issue. However, it was indicative of the need for a better checklist- or following an exisiting checklist for cleaning/prepping the room. Also, the light over the desk wasn't working, which was a bit of a problem since I was there for business.

All in all- I'd stay there again, especially for the price/value.

We booked this at the last minute for personal reasons. This location was great for us, the property was clean, the continental breakfast had what we needed, and the staff was very helpful. Despite the proximity to the airport, we didn't hear any noise from it. We liked the microwave and refrigerator in the room and made good use of both. Our room was well kept and clean. Great experience all around!

This was probably the most reasonably priced hotel and as close as you can get to the airport. We stayed most of our week at a hotel along the River Walk and then moved to this hotel for two nights to be near the airport (flight was at 5:45 AM) and to do tourist activities in the north San Antonio area.

This hotel is very close to a major in-door mall, outdoor mall and lots of dining establishments. It is not far from Sea World and Six Flags. It is literally next to I-410/ US 281 which will lead you throughout San Antonio. None of the malls and food places were within walking distance, but the hotel offers a shuttle to just about anywhere you want to go within reason. The shuttle driver was extremely pleasant, courteous and helpful in finding things in the area.

The front desk folks are outstanding and very accomodating. These folks and their outstanding customer service skills made up for any other issues I may have had with the property. In general, the hotel was very clean, though more attention to cleanliness could have been given to the room. It wasn't dirty, but its the details like cleaning the telephone, shelves, remote controls. The room had everything we needed for our stay and had a good floor plan. The beds are very soft and probably need to be replaced (at least the one in our room). Considering the hotel is next to an interstate and airport, it was very quiet at night.

Check-in and check-out were very smooth with no issues. The first airport shuttle in the morining is 4:15 AM and the driver was right on time. Just five minutes to the terminal. A word of warning, the security lines at SAT are VERY SLOW! Please get to the airport at least 2 hours early.

Cinsidering we used the hotel primarily to sleep, the $60 a night we paid for two beds was a great deal. It served our needs well and we would stay there again if in the area.
