This is on the outskirts of Downtown, but on the trolley line, so the trolley will take you downtown in a few minutes. Free parking. Breakfast in great. Have not used pool, but it looks nice. We have stayed 5 or 6 times now because we have to go to SA for husbands work, and this is where we like to stay. He goes to meetings and I roam around downtown. 2 places we recently found are Rosarios for wonderful Mexican food and The Friendly Spot for drinks outdoor. Take Blue trolley or drive in about 20 seconds.

We travel with our dog so I prefer to stay at la quint because they are dog friendly and usually very clean. This hotel was really nice in a great location. We walked to a lot of places or took a trolley for $1.10 per person. The front desk staff was super friendly too. Our room was clean and quiet. Really good BBQ and chicken at bill millers BBQ. Inexpensive food.

Me and my son stayed at the LaQuinta Inn on our recent trip to San Antonio. The hotel is in a good location, close to interstate access which came in handy while we were out and about in the city going to the outlet in San Marcos, the AT&T center for the Spurs game. It's about 3 blocks from the Riverwalk and many of the sights downtown. We also went to the Alamo Bowl for the Baylor-Washington game and the shuttle bus to get to the Alamo Dome was right in front of the hotel. If your looking for a hotel for a good value, this is a good place to stay.

The night clerk at this property was so friendly and accommodating. We had arrived early and she allowed us to check in at no charge for the few hours between the time we got there and the check-in time. Everyone at this location was friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and clean. We've always had a good experience in every La Quinta Inn we've been to.
