Last time we stayed at another well reviewed high rise hotel in d/t San Antonio, and parking was $17 a day (and no in and out with valet). For the money, this LQ can't be beat. Huge room, free parking, easy to dash in and out and would have been close enough to walk to either d/t or King William/Southtown if it weren't 110 degrees outside. We got a state employee rate of $89 and our king room had a full size sofa, lounge chair, flat screen, king bed. It is not one of the newest LQs (the bathroom is smaller with older fixtures) but it was all very clean, quiet and comfortable. The elevator is the only really worn looking area--very hot and old carpet. We don't eat free buffet b'fasts, but if you do, this one had waffles, array of breads to toast, fruit and yogurt (some hard boiled eggs)--no hot protein. Our dog enjoyed the hard boiled egg, though, as he usually gets scrambled at free b'fast buffets. And La Quinta is Spanish for free dogs.

We chose this hotel because it's pet friendly with no fee, and it's close to the Riverwalk. The bed and room were very comfortable and quiet, the staff was pretty friendly, and it was just a few block walk from Riverwalk. I took a bath in the nice-sized tub and it was super clean and comfortable. The room was very spacious and had a nice kitchenette area and free wifi. The hotel wasn't particularly remarkable but it has a great location and is entirely comfortable and like I said, dependable.

A good hotel that was very clean and a fantastic location for visiting the riverwalk, decent quality breakfast was included in the rate.

We were disappointed in the service and the room was not very clean. We stayed in a suite and there were stains on the couch and chair in our room. The microwave in the rooms are handy until the guy down the hall decides to burn something stinking the entire hall. My son names the two bugs he found on the wall and I opted to pass on the shower since I did not bring shower shoes with me. I usually feel pretty safe with la quinta hotels but not any more, and WAY over priced!
