We've been visiting husband's family in San Antonio for years. We have stayed in many hotels in various locations. This hotel location is excellent...within walking distance to North Star Mall. We stayed in the 2 bedroom unit and had plenty of room for the 3 of us. Since this was the weekend and the holidays, there was no manager reception to rate. The breakfasts were good....best part is free. However, not much enthusiasm in seeing that things were kept up...but again this was Christmas holidays. Room was clean except for a large glob of black hair stuck in the corner. Only concern, around 10PM, we were able to walk in the front door and down the hall without apparently being seen. We didn't check but we are assuming they had a security camera monitoring. This in light of the fact that there was statement placed in the room advising that stealing from cars was on the rise (not unusual for San Antonio) in that area didn't give us the most secure feeling.

This is the second time I've stayed here this past year. All the renovations are done and the entire hotel is exceptionally nice! The rooms are huge, clean & exceptionally well done and all the perks from the free internet, the pool area with the BBQ Grills and Cabana, to the free breakfast and happy hour are all fantastic. The best part though is the top notch service. First the entire Hotel Staff is quite small, perhaps 25 people total, but they ALL make a real effort to know their customers and will go out of their way to help make your stay the best. I bring a large group in twice a year and there are LOTS of last minute changes, issues, etc... So I know we are a nightmare to deal with, but the flexibility of management and staff is truly amazing. They really will work with you even when you'd think other places would throw in the towel. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone visiting San Antonio!

Selected based on previous TripAdvisor reviews, location, amenitites, price - did not go wrong, this was the right choice. The good things: relatively secure and free parking, good key-only entry into every entrance, very relaxed environment - like being at home, free laundry (3 washers/3 dryers), two separate business centers with computer and all-in-one printer/copier, great breakfast buffet that begins at 0630 during week, very nice pool with hot tub is on roof of third floor - requires key to enter, and the service from the very polite staff was truly exceptional. What can't be changed: pool is on the freeway side of the building so not very quiet; can be relaxing, but not quiet. Why was the pool not placed on the parking lot or rear side of the building...??? Now things I would work to improve: wireless internet was a bit slow to non-responsive on many occassions, and prompted us to call to ask for router to be re-set on two occassions. Please place in rooms a listing of TV channels. Fitness center could benefit from some updated equipment and some weights. The suites have double doors that do separate the bedroom from the living room, which is great, but I would recommend a door to separate the bedroom from the sink and bathroom area. You'll see what I mean if you stay here. The suites give you as much room as any suite you will find in a hotel, with a full-service kitchen - awesome. All in all, very nice especially for families requiring a longer stay.

I was traveling around the US with my family on business and holiday and I booked this hotel looking at the website and was near the airport, but this was my biggest mistake to do. The hotel staff expect for one front desk lady never cares for the guests. They never even smile to you. They had the breakfast and sundown dinner and they serve us as we are just a pack of beggars.

They had the construction going on and they never mentioned this when we booked the hotel, They had days when the laundry never used to work and we had to go to a different hotel with all our laundry to have it completed. I and never will I allow anyone from our company to stay here anymore. Also they say they have shuttle, but it is never there when you want it and trust me, please do not stay here unless you want ot see what a bad service is like.
