We arrived at this hotel to be greated by a prostitute at the door and a group of 15 gangsters all standing around the stairwell, no kidding. The night manager had charged us an extra 40 dollars for the stay. After going up to the room, still seriously debating staying, we found a door that opened with a simple jiggle. Needless to say, we told the manager we were not staying. After leaving the manager called, accusing us of being racist because the men standing around the staircase were black. After informing him we were not staying at we feared for our safety and hanging up, he called a second time to inform us we were not to call cooperate "there is nothing they can do". He then gave us the wrong name when we ask for his name to complain to coperate. HORRIBLE HOTEL, HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!

I read some aweful reviews on this place, but for under $50 a night, hey I was willing to chance it. When I got there I was amazed, the room smelled wonderful and the bed was made up beautifully. Thebathroom was literally the best I have ever seen in a hotel with in this price range. I really enjoyed my 3 night stay and would deffinately go again. And a bonus is there are a ton of places that deliver and they're super fast too!

I booked the King Suite, and I wish I had called to make sure that there was a separate living room area with a door separating it from the bedroom. It was really just a bigger room with a fold out sofa, which meant that the kids slept just feet away from us. The best feature of this room was the refrigerator and microwave, and the free wi-fi. The bathtub linoleum was full of cracks and looked old and dingy. There is no way I would take a bath in there.
The hotel does offer free breakfast, but the service is almost non-existent. When I asked for butter for the waffles, and cups for the coffee, the girl "working" there told me to wait a minute, then proceeded to do everything but get me butter or cups. On our second day, the breakfast room was so crowded (there are only 4 small tables), we gave up and went up the road to Jim's (which I highly recommend!).
We brought the kids to San Antonio on a last-minute trip, so we didn't research hotels thoroughly enough. We spent more time out of our room than in it, otherwise we would have moved after the first night.

I received a good rate but even at that, this place needs some major updates. Bed was broken and sheets had holes in them. I switched rooms, and was put in a smoking room. It was labeled a non smoking room but had nothing but the smell of smoke all over. Just some minor updates and the place would be ok.
