We stayed at this Rodeway last weekend for out son's BMT graduation. What truly amazed me was how uncrowded it was. The word must not have gotten out yet that this is a great place to stay. It was very clean. We had a refrigerator and microwave in the room as well as an ironing board and iron...much needed after a scrunched packing session:) We arrived a little after midnight and had a car full of tired cranky people after driving for 22 hours. The man at the front desk immediately let us into our room with very little delay. The continental breakfast was great. The most sought after breakfast item was the Texas-Shaped waffle. We all have pictures of it now! The breakfast is started a half hour earlier on Thursdays and Fridays so everyone can get to the morning events on base on time. What was REALLY the clencher for me was that the base was just a few minutes away from the Rodeway. Our son decided he wanted to hang out at the motel all weekend instead of going sight-seeing. He had his cozy pants on and just chilled all day in the comfort of the room surrounded by his siblings. He LOVED it! He said the motel was great. We had the pool all to ourselves which our 10 year old loved. We swam, and played ball, and tanned, and just relaxed. I made a point to thank the staff for their part in making the weekend incredible. If you're looking for a place to stay, this is it :)

Right this second... look elsewhere. It's scary rundown. I was in a pinch and needed a room for two nights, made reservations site unseen, and paid three times what it was worth. I didn't bring my luggage in the room and was afraid to sleep in the bed.

Dirty!! Carpets hadn't been vacuumed-we actually hunted down cleaning crew to borrow the vacuum cleaner to vacuum our own room (seriously what hotel do you have to vacuum your own room?!). The tub had red soap drippings down the side, so needless to say it hadn't been cleaned. Cleaned that ourselves as well. We happened to overhear that the terminator was spraying. Since I didn't know what chemicals or if it was safe for you g children, I asked the front since my 2 year old has some allergy issues. I was told they are drilling holes only on the outside to put pesticide, not going in the rooms. HOWEVER, when we came back after a tiring, yet fun filled, day at sea world, we could clearly see the hole in the wall that had been drilled...on the INSIDE of our room!! The icing on the cake was when our air mattress got a hole in it (the 2 year old will fall Where u at?!off the bed w no side rails, so we put an air-mattress on the floor). It was late, so we pulled the mattress off the bed & put it on the floor...mistake!! The stains were unbelievable! Found dried, crusted food there also. The sheets had things between them-an earring back, a piece of wrapper from candy. Dont normally sleep between the sheets of a bed in a motel, usually sleep on top of the comforter & bring our own pillows & blankets. This was absolutely, hands down, the most disgustingly filthiest place we have ever stayed!!

This hotel was fine for what we needed it for the price was right we were there one night before moving on base, It is an older hotel the rooms are small but they are clean we had coffee pot, fridge, microwave, blow dryer...although we didn't use these things they were in our room...the breakfast is about the same as you would expect at any hotel that offers a deluxe continental breakfast...waffles, ceral, fruit, danish, milk and juic, coffee...we resevered three rooms with hotwire for 12 of us in our party with kids ranging in age 4-17....if you are looking for a clean room at a decent price then this would fit the bill as long as you go in knowing that it is not a 4-star hilton then you wont be disappointed
