The room was pretty nice but nothing special. The bathroom was tiny (toilet and shower really close in a tiny room). Kids liked that they could order waffles until about 11 am and they were only $4.

Was recently in town for a conference and our group stayed at the Hyatt Place, very comfortable hotel and complimentary breakfast and internet was an added plus. Overall enjoiyed my stay very much.

Free parking, free breakfast and super comfy beds! Did I mention its on the river and a 10 min walk from the center of the river walk and Alamo? It's also about $100 cheaper than many of the other river walk hotels. Check out San Antonio's b-cycle program for bike rentals! There is a b-cycle station 0.2 miles from the hotels front door.

We booked a trip on the Hyatt website at 3:30pm on Friday (new years weekend). Surprisingly we were able to get a room (we got a confirmation of our on-line booking). When we arrived, a wonderful young lady at the front desk, Stephanie Ford, was super sweet, but there was a small issue since we booked so late. She went and got the manager, Mona Esmaili to see what she could do. They were able to get us into the same room that we had bought on the Hyatt website. Her customer service skills was marvelous. I was getting upset and she was able to remain calm and get us taken care of even with all the craziness of the New Year weekend. Our bellman, Tony Zvek, was hands down the best bellman that I have ever had! Not only did he show us our room, he asked if we needed more pillows, checked the bathroom and noticed that we did not have any soap (and sent some up), let my daughter ride the luggage cart all the way up. Went to the window and told us about some of the things to do on the Riverwalk, answered ALL my 8yo questions about San Antonio and the list goes on and on. Tony went ABOVE and beyond!!! This is only the second time I have stayed at a Hyatt property and it is service like this that is turning me into a permanent Hyatt customer!!! We will definitely be back to this hotel!!!!
