“Gone down hill.”

We have stayed at this location on numerous occasions, as were travel to Boerne 3-4 times per year, and have always been happy. However, our latest stay was a HUGE disappointment. I reserved a 2 room suite and upon our late arrival we were greeted by a very polite and personable young man. That was the end of the hospitality. The condition of the facilities has declined to the point of being disgusting. The second morning of our stay we returned to our room only to be locked out. We were told that the batteries in the lock were dead and that there was no maintenance available that day (Monday). We were moved to another suite, and since we were late for an appointment moved our luggage and left. Upon returning that evening I found that neither of the TV remotes worked, there was no lamp on one of the nightstands. There were crumbs and bugs on the floor and the bathroom floor was dirty. I sent a letter to Mr. Patel (the GM) and LaQuinta and the only response I received was computer generated and thanked me for my stay.

Needless to say, I will be looking elsewhere for accommodations on our next trip to the Boerne area.

“Wrote this letter to the GM and to LQ website..."My Stay November 19-21”

Mr. Patel,

Hello. Normally I am not the kind of person that would complain about anything, however, after staying at your hotel in May of 2009 and now in November of 2010, i noticed a few changes and not for the better.
When i arrived i was not greeted by the front desk person. She did not once ever make eye contact with me and was barely audiable. When my husband returned the luggage cart and asked where he should put it she just pointed. (We arrived Friday night Nov. 19) To me her behavior was rude. Not at all welcoming or accomadating.
In our room the alarm clock did not work at all and after encountering the young woman at the front desk i did not want to bother or deal with her again so we did not have a wroking alarm clock all weekend.
The next morning after breakfast we discovered that our keys were no longer working so i went to the front desk and waited at least five minutes for the young man who i saw in the business center room on the computer to arrive only to answer the ringing phone first while i waited and was not even acknowleged. Giving him the benefit of the doubt i was in good spirits only to be met with the same behavior and demeanor that the young woman from the night before displayed. Not accomadating, not applogetic for the keys not working, did not make eye contact, could barely hear him when he finally did speak to me, just all around not friendly.

I am very dissappointed in the staff at the hotel. I had hopped for the same expierence that we had the first time and was left feeling less than thrilled about my stay and wondering if i returned to the area where could we stay the next time.

Aside from that the room was decent....however the shower curtian smelled like mildew, the towels and sheets and pillows seemed a little worn and not at all like i remembered them in the summer of 2009.

I hope that my feedback helps you to improve your customer service at the hotel and remedy problems like this for myself and others

“GREAT PLACE TO STAY!!”

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The hotel is about 2 years old-so everything is clean and in great shape. Beds are very comfortable, and we rested well. The hotel is located just off of I-10. Our room was located on the side away from the interstate and was quiet. We had a nice breakfast-the waffles were very good. Great pool, hottub and the hotel is in a great location. They accept pets, which is a must for us. We will definitely stay here again.

“Poor experience”

We booked a King Suite for our 28th anniversary get away which was over the labor day weekend. Multiple issues with this hotel cleanliness being one of them. Our access cards did not work and we had to make several trips to the desk before they came up and checked the lock. They had to call maintenance in to fix the lock. The room was hot and when we went to adjust the air conditioner to cool the room there were ants on pieces of food particles. The bed did not look like it was made up properly so I checked the sheets and there was hair on the sheets. They had apparently not been changed between guests. The attendant from the desk came up to help me change the sheets. We could not get another room since it was Labor Day weekend all hotels were booked. The coffee maker had grounds left from a previous guest. The common areas were dirty. The manager on duty was was rude. I tried to post to the franchise website and it would not accept any concerns. Do not use this hotel unless you want to do your own housekeeping bring your supplies!

“Good a year ago when new - terrible experience this year.”

Second trip to this hotel, same time of year for a golf tournament with my son. Summer of '09 reviews are correct, hotel was clean, new and a great value. What a difference a year makes apparently.

Problem #1: Checked in at 7:30 PM and room was not ready! Really! Needed to drop my son off and run to pick up my wife, ended up waiting 30 minutes while they finally got our room cleaned. Couple other guests were in the same boat checking in at same time. The desk guy blamed it on a housekeeper who reported rooms being cleaned that in fact had not been touched yet. He did adjust my total two-night charges by $13, whoopee!
Problem #2: Cleanliness of stairwells/vending areas horrible. Housekeeping staff apparently only clean rooms - same garbage in stairwells and vending area were present during Sunday thru Tuesday stay. Meant to discuss this with the GM, but even though at checkout I left my business card with front desk with a request he call me, I never heard from him.
Problem #3: Unbelievably non-caring, bordering on rude, morning front desk clerk. Popped down last morning for a cup of coffee at breakfast area at 9:25 (I checked my phone after). No coffee cups, and no breakfast area attendant in sight. Walked across hall to front desk to inquire about cups. Response - "We're out of coffee cups", then looked at his watch and said "Breakfast is over anyway." WTF!? First of all, breakfast is posted as ending at 9:30, there were a dozen people still sitting in there eating and all I wanted was a cup of coffee, not a denver omelette!! Walked to the housekeeping cart down the hall and managed to get a coffee cup from the housekeeper. In a lot of years of travelling, his attitude was about the worst I've ever encountered at any hotel in the world. He did by the way notice how absolutely astounded I was by his response and was restocking the coffee cup dispenser with the same style cups I had gotten from the housekeeper.
