Days Inn is a budget motel chain, and you should expect that level of service. The room was adequate, if a bit worn. The hotel pool was small and not suitable for swimming. Towels, coffee service, and sheets were replaced most of the time. The wireless InterNet worked most of the time. The front desk had a morning paper most of the time. The continental breakfast was waffles shaped like the State of Texas, bagels and pastries, instant oatmeal, bread and jam, coffee and juices. Unless you object, the motel will charge you $1.50/day for the privilege of having a safe in your room. Ask for an itemized bill at the end of your stay, otherwise you will not identify all the charges made against your room. The really great perk, which you should confirm is still available, was the guest pass to Ballys Gym. The Gym was across the highway in the Ingram Mall, and offered a pretty good workout.

It's only asset is the proximity to the airport and airport parking. The place is dingy, dark, heavily perfumed to cover the smoke smell in both the common areas and the non smoking rooms. The rooms are worn, the bedding is worn, and the bath linen is worn. In the bath there is mold and mildew not so much that you are afraid to use the place but just not well cleaned or cared for. Their best rate was in the mid $70 range but that is over priced for this property. If your looking to save a buck in San Antonio and you need to be near the airport then maybe but don't expect much.

Staff is not friendly or helpful. Hotel is not near anything so you do have to drive if you need anything. They lock the back gate so to return the rental car you have to drive around 410 loop. room is nice but no refrig or micro, for the price I would only stay again if I had an early flight.

We wanted to check in early, only 5 cars in lot, he said no, 4:00. Acted very rude, bathroom in lobby had no toilet paper, no paper towels. Pool was full of dirt, leaves and bugs as well as the hottub. Didn't want to stay there after seeing that, wouldn't refund money. Don't pay ahead you'll be sorry!
