We took two teams (11 ladies) to San Antonio the weekend of June 3-5 for the USBC Women's State Bowling Tournament. We had a total of 4 rooms at this hotel. Everyone had a positive experience. The rooms weren't fancy but were clean & functional & the beds were comfortable. The only negative was that the freezer compartment of the refrigerators in each of our rooms was so frosted over that a person could not store anything inside. The swimming pool was GREAT! It had a hot tub that spilled into the pool so the water was nice & warm (good for sore bodies after bowling). The hotel has a snack-shop where a person can buy bottled water & other drinks as well as snack foods. The front desk employees were all very nice & very accommodating. They let us have late check-out for one of the rooms so we could keep our luggage there until after the tournament so we wouldn't have to leave it in the high temperatures in our cars. There were good security practices in place as the hotel closed off (via big steel gates) 2 out of the 3 entrances/exits to the parking lot after certain hours. Some may consider this an inconvenience but I'm sure it drastically cuts down on car theft & vandalism. Also, this hotel is very close to a wide variety of eating places but they do provide a satisfactory hot meal for breakfast every morning. I'd definitely stay at this hotel again.
