This hotel is bargain basement, no frills, but it was clean and well kept despite its age. But most importantly, it was walking distance to the Valero Dome. We went there to see the Alamo Bowl, and it was an easy to walk to the riverwalk, the game, and back again. The parking was free with the room and they had a fenced and well lighted parking lot. A good value if your main goal is to see the game and are not planning to use the room for anything but sleep. We felt safe there.

We stayed here for one night and I can honestly say it was the worst experience I have had anywhere in the world! My husband, two small children and myself were staying here with another family and were so sorely disappointed with the experience. It was nothing short of unsanitary, filthy and smelly! We had to ask for a change of sheets, which we had to almost beg for. Even with the new sheets, the linens were dirty and we found hair and soil all over the beds and blankets. Clearly hadn't been changed between customers. I had to first scrub the bathroom and bathtub before safely bathing my little ones. Really disgusting. The front staff was rude and not at all helpful. The rooms were noisy and most of the other guests were partying well into the night, and we could unfortunately hear it all. This stay ruined my San Antonio vacation and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

I usually don't write reviews for chain hotels / motels, but this calls for one. There is not a lot to say about the hotel itself - it's a standard Days Inn room, with a standard breakfast so if you've ever been to a Days Inn you know what you'll get. What makes this place mentionable is the walking distance to the Alamo and the Riverwalk - because here you'll get it for a motel price. It's not right at the Riverwalk, but very close by and reachable by a short walk of about five to ten minutes (which at least for European standards isn't far).

The only downside at our stay was, that the Internet didn't work - which is OK seeing that the room was about half the price of one at the bigger hotels directly at the Riverwalk. If you're looking for an affordable place in San Antonio this is where you want to be.

Nothing to rave about but really nothing to complain about. We stayed here our last night in San Antonio and pretty much just needed somewhere to sleep for a couple of hours after going out on the Riverwalk and then catching our plane at 5 AM. Hotel is not fancy but comfortable. Location is great.
