“You get what you pay for here!”

I think most of these rave reviews are coming from the hotel owners or those with a vested interest in the Extended Stay Tucson. Anyone who actually stayed a night in this place would not be raving!

I stayed three nights with my wife and it's one of the dirtiest and in the words of my wife "grossest" hotels we have seen. Yes, it has a kitchen but the dishes are so dirty we did not trust them and the counter when we moved the cutting board was sticky with a dark brown mess underneath. There was NO soap anywhere in the room when we checked in (bathroom or otherwise). The bathroom shower was disgusting and the vinyl on the floor was moldy and peeling up.
The noise in the parking lot and on the street makes it hard to sleep (so like another poster said, get a room in the back). There were lots of shady people in the parking lot and I didn't like leaving my wife there alone at night, as she was harassed by a couple men one night going to her car!
Just a nasty place, we would never go back and def do not recommend.

“Good place--just noisy”

Stayed here with my son one night. The location is great and the room was very comfortable. We really enjoyed the kitchen..it has everything but an oven. It even included cookware, plates etc.(loved Trader Joe's down the street!!)
However if you stay here I suggest trying a room in the back away from the office and front lane. We were woken up twice with car alarms in the parking lot, then twice more with late arriving guests...the last at almost 1am. Of course this is a normal occurence in a hotel.
I'd stay here again, but simply request a room in the back next time.

“Excellent value”

Just spent 10 days in this hotel (September '07). Found it very clean and comfortable, better than I expected, given the off-season low price. Kitchen facilties better than I needed, enormous fridge. Traffic in Tucson is not a problem, even with some of the I-10 access ramps closed. Enjoyed my stay, would happily stay here again.

“Nice stay and a great location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 March 2007

We had a nice room on the third floor with a view of the mountains. Many restaurants and two grocery stores nearby. The kitchenette feature was really nice although plates, cups, etc. were provided for only two people. Full size refrigerator and two burner cook top were extremely clean and in excellent working order. Drug store right next door came in handy when my husband realized he'd left his toothbrush at home. All in all a very nice stay at a great price.

My only words of caution would be to those who prefer a location very close to the Interstate. This one is only 6 miles from I-10 but it's on a very heavily traveled surface street (especially during rush hours). Traffic is not an issue after 7:00 p.m. and did not affect our sleep in any way.

We really enjoyed our stay at Extended Stay! Great central location! Having a kithenette really saves you the money and the hassle of going out to eat for every meal. Room was very clean and the staff is really nice. We'll definatly stay here again for our next trip.
