The hotel is located at one end of a large shopping center, especially convenient to Sabino Canyon for hiking, which is why we chose it. The building is older, but well-maintained and clean. Usual breakfast provided. A happy hour on weekdays has inexpensive beer and wine.

Stayed here 10 years ago + 12/04/11, With the passing of time I wasnt sure of what to expect, but after all those years it was exactly as I remebered it last although it was a Hawthorne Suites previously, it was ideally located, clean, comfortable, well maintained, safe, and not overpriced.

We stayed two nights at the Comfort Suites at Sabino Canyon; we had a King Bed/Suite type room which had a couch, refrigerator, and microwave. The staff was friendly; we enjoyed the happy hour by the pool on Friday (I believe this was only during the week). My husband used the pool and hot tub both nights (we also did one load of laundry).
The room was clean - the only reason I didn't give the hotel five stars was that the bathroom was slightly small and the shower head could have used some slight adjustments. Everything else was great - hot water, nice television, good breakfast.

There are several restaurants within walking distance of the restaurant; many offered discounts with the room card. The hotel is not right off the highway, but closer to Sabino Canyon. (Also on a side note - we enjoyed hiking at Sabino Canyon!)
