My friend and I booked this hotel through because it was cheap and close by. We had stayed a HoJo motel before (in a different city) and had no problems, so we didn't think twice. When we arrived, the person at the front desk was extremely rude and tried to charge us extra for having two people in the room. How many did they expect in a room with two double beds? We had to cancel the reservation and re-book online to avoid the charge. The first thing we noticed about the room was the smell. It was awful. The sheets were wrinkled and stained, and I couldn't even bring myself to look in the bathroom. We called the front desk and after being shouted at about the terms of the reservation, we were moved to a different room. The sheets appeared (somewhat) clean, but the lock on the door didn't work. That was the last straw. We called corporate and made a complaint and then called Orbitz, who graciously refunded our money so we could find a room elsewhere. I don't even know how this place passes health code inspections.
