“Thank You, Marc.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 March 2008

I was grateful to spend two nights at Natural B&B at the end of February, 2008. I was able to get in at the B&B on short notice - I called Marc on the morning of my arrival in Tucson. I am a guy with severe multiple chemical sensitiviies and other allergies and I was eager to stay at Natrural B&B after finding it listed at www.bestgreenhotels.com.

Let me be clear, Natural B&B is not completely chemical, toxin, and emf free -- this is the only reason I didn't rate this B&B as Excellent -- not because I didn't love it, but I simply want others with severe chemical sensitivities to understand the situation. For those without such problems, I would rate Natural B&B as excellent.

The owner/manager, Marc Haberman, has done a good job of creating a comfortable and healthy place to stay -- the best I have found for myself, even with my allergy problems. Marc lives a healthy lifestyle himself and does massage therapy and energy healing work in Tucson. I found Marc to be friendly, knowledgeable, and sincere.

Highlights: quiet setting inside and out; vegetarian health food store (Aqua Vita) 3-4 blocks away and a Wild Oats Market within a short bus ride; close to bus stops; everything I needed to store and prepare my own meals; organic juices readily available; Marc uses non-toxic cleaners on everything; the room in which I stayed had a full size bed, a full size futon, and an extra futon mattress, which I loved; the shower had a shovwer filter; shoes are not worn inside; and my favorite, a large Honeywell air filter in the room.

I would recommend Natural B&B to anyone who is looking for a peaceful, healthy, simple place to stay. For those with chemical sensitivities, this B&B isn't perfect, but it is clearly the best I have found yet. Thank you and best wishes.

“At Home at Natural B&B.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 October 2007

I generally travel alone and for pleasure. I found the Natural
Bed & Breakfast some fifteen years ago and felt quite at ease
there. Since Tucson is one of my favorite towns, I have returned
many times over the years and have almost always stayed at
this B&B. I enjoy the peace and quiet there and the owner's
emphasis on a healthy environment and a holistic way of living.
I have also much appreciated the owner's great knowledge of
Tucson and its restaurants and points of interest, and his friendly
assistance on inumerable occasions to this traveler in finding
exactly what I was looking for with directions, maps, menus and
brochures, as well as many invaluable suggestions. In short,
I can certainly recommend Natural Bed & Breakfast to anyone.

  • Liked — Comfortable room, peace and quiet.
  • Disliked — Lack of a pool.

“Home away from Home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 April 2007

When I look for places to stay, I look for those who are helping the environment, low-noise, no fragrances, relaxing, and that interract with you on your level - a little or a lot. So, I look for places to stay that are like staying in my home.
I also enjoy staying at places with people who are easy to talk to.
I find all this at Tucson Natural. Every trip I make, which are many, I stay at this B&B.

Funky with a capital F. The rooms were awful, the bathroom even worse. The first room we had looked like it was used for storage; the second room (after complaining about the first) had no windows. We were not given any soap, but there was a used bar of soap on the floor of the shower--need I say more? The breakfast was 2 overcooked eggs and a piece of toast or a bowl of oatmeal (decent, but boring). Without a doubt the worst experience I've ever had at a B & B, and we've stayed at lots. We stayed for two nights and were charged for three because we had a reservation. What a rip-off.

I just discovered Trip Advisor and the review. In 17 years of running a wholesome Bed & Breakfast with many healthy alternatives, it is rare that I have any complaints. If there are any concerns they are attended to immediately. It is regretful that the guest was not comfortable with my decor. Their concerns were addressed. I have thousands of satisfied guests over the years, and many return guests. The many positive reviews on my website, speak for themselves.
