“What a wonderful place.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 November 2010

Great hotel for extended stay even though we only stayed overnight. The suite was spacious, the kitchen was fully equipped and the microwave popcorn added a nice touch for late arrivals who still want a snack. There is also a mini-convenience store in the lobby. Hot breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices. We had already decided when ever we go to Tucson to see relatives this is our new home away from home.

“Everything done right”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 December 2009

I was very pleased with the Residence Inn Williams Center. It was very close to the business, which makes location ideal for me. The breakfast was moderate to good, and the evening food was in fact a real dinner, the first time I've seen that. The room itself was large (as all Residence Inn rooms) and I had a room that was quiet - I think most rooms are. The staff was helpful with the few questions I asked.

The bed was extremely comfortable, as in almost all Marriott properties.

So my rating of 5 stars is because everything was done right. Just because I rate it 5 stars doesn't mean that it has an extremely fancy lobby, artwork on the walls, or anything like that. It's an ideal business hotel. It's convenient to businesses close by, the room is spacious, quiet, with good temperature control, hot water, modern plumbing, and reasonable food available. I suspect this would be rated as 3 diamonds in a travel guide, because it's in Tucson, it's set up so that you do many things without staff, it doesn't have award winning grounds, a fabulous restaurant, or any of those items. But if you're going to stay on business, it's got everything you need.

I plan to go back there on future Tucson trips.

Overall, this is a superb value.

“Comfortable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 November 2009

We spent 3 nights in a two bedroom suite while visiting Tucson. The room was clean and came with all the features of home. Coin laundry was down the hall. The breakfast area is extremely small and tables fill up quickly. Breakfast consisted of a good selection of hot and cold items, but hot items were just average on taste. Newspapers were delivered daily. The location was in a surburban shopping area. Next to the hotel was a Barnes & Nobel, Macaroni Grill and Olive Garden. A couple of blocks away in a major shopping mall was Red Lobster and others. It was somewhat a long drive to reach the freeway. We would stay here again on a future visit.

“Nice Big Rooms”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2009

We arrived at the hotel around noon and they allowed us to check in early. The hotel was ok for a Residence Inn, but I have stayed at much nicer. When we arrived to our room it a very nice and big, but had an awful view we could look and see the roof on the lobby. Most of the lower rooms in the front of the hotel have obstructed views. We ate the complimentary breakfast they offered in the morning. It was good but we had to eat in our room because the dining area had a total of four small tables that were always taken. My bathroom was bigger then the lobby dining area. The area where the hotel was located looked and felt safe but wasn’t an area I would live in. Over all I would stay here again for the right price. We got the room for only $50.00 by bidding on Priceline.

“Overpriced for what it is.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2009

When traveling with our kids we stay in these types of properties so that we can get all of us in one suite (two bedrooms, two baths, one living/kitchen area). The property itself is fine, but overall the service wasn't. In 5 days, we only got new soap and shampoo and conditioner a couple of times. The refrigerator wasn't cold for the milk for the kids. The card to be placed on the bed for clean linens was never in the same place and missing on the second to last day. They turned off the internet access because of a conversion to WiFi and never told us until I called to ask about the service.

Two connecting rooms in a Comfort Suites would have been a better deal and the service level would have been similar.

Breakfast was fine.

  • Liked — The size of the room.
  • Disliked — Not great service/bad value proposition.
