“Close to everything in Lubec, Maine”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 October 2011

This inn had a very friendly staff; they were willing to help. There are no elevators but only 2 floors so not too many steps. The room was small because the queen bed took up most of the room, but it was clean. Take your own toiletries because all they give you is soap (no shampoo, facial tissues, etc.). Also, breakfast is free but only 3 types of dry cereal, bananas, hard boiled eggs English muffins, OJ, and yogurt. They have a restaurant in the inn. It's pricey, but the food is great.

“Friendly, Irish charm”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 October 2011

We stayed at Cohill's last month and enjoyed our stay so much. The staff were all friendly and informative. Our room overlooked an inlet where we could watch herons and harbor seals at low tide....fabulous! Breakfast in the pub was basic, but substantial, and the coffee was outstanding! We ate 2 dinners in the pub and they were both delicious. I've recommended Cohill's to a friend who plans on visiting Maine soon. We would definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: It seems all rooms have a lovely view of something. We chose a room with a king bed.

“What a delightful spot”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 September 2011

After a 6 hour drive I was ready for a glass of wine and some food. Driving down this dark lonely road from US 1 I would never have guessed that I would find an oaisis!
A darling B&B or Inn don't know how it's classified but terriffic food, wonderful hosts, warm cozy dining room, delightful room overlooking the bay, I could not believe my luck!
The restaurant is farm to table
If you can find this one go, enjoy the little quaint town, the delightful restaurant and be happy you found it too!

Room Tip: A bit hard to find but worth the search

“Stunning views!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 August 2011

Great Place! The owner greets you by name, and will be happy to accomodate any requests; stay on an upper floor and have stunning views of the Bay of Funday, and the lighthouse...The place to see there is Campobello Island which is a 2 minute drive... Of course it is in Canada so bring a passport, and plenty of time to explore this Island.... No wonder why FDR loved this island. Cohills is clean, reasonable, and with a friendly staff... If you want a limited menu sit out on the upper deck, if you forget a blanket the friendly bartender will bring one if you are chilly. Enjoy!

“Incredible view, food, atmosphere, and people. A new favorite!”

I went to Cohill's with my family for an escape from life for a week. I can't even begin to explain how pleasant my experience was. The owner, Jack, provided us with anything we needed to know about Lubec, complete with a list of all the worthwhile things to see during our stay. Everyone there was very happy and helpful(which can be rare these days), and did anything they could to accommodate our needs. While we kayaked and whale watched during the day, we were always excited to come back and have a wonderful and fresh meal by night. We found a lot of the food in Lubec to be fried, so it was nice to have organic, tasty options that never disappointed...anything you order will be KILLER, even the salads are overflowing with flavor(as hard as that is to believe, trust me!). Seeing the panoramic view of the Bay of Fundy was a pleasant experience, especially when waking up to it in our room with the seals playing in the water every morning.
Lubec has great spirit, and provided us with a much needed vacation from the chaos of everyday life. Cohill's was a large portion of why we enjoyed ourselves so much, I would recommend this gem to anyone!
