“literally no comaints”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2012

Staff - check. Room - Check. Location - check. Check. Check.

I stayed here off a groupon and was very impressed. no doubt it's a small place, and I'm sure if I walked in expecting a renaissance it would left a little to be desired, but I walked in hoping for a boutique feel with European flare. And I got it. and I loved it. And I'll be back.

“very cool hotel, great location, but a few areas to improve”

The hotel is a "boutique" style that was an apartment building. so the room have full kitchens, bathrooms, one bedroom/one living area, closets, dishes/plates... plenty of space overall. its right on a pedestrian street with restaurants and a fountain. really nice to walk around and then up and down the main street. fantastic choice if you want to walk around and be in the middle of things.
Staff was very nice and helpful. the hotel is associated with neighboring restaurants (all less than 100 feet away) so i was given coupons for meals/breakfast.
I had a problem with a TV and the guy at the front desk was really nice and helped me into another room.

downsides:
- finding the hotel wasn't too easy, finding a place to park was impossible. once i double parked and went in to ask about parking, found out about the lot they have.
hotel would do well to put some signs up on the back street so people have some idea as to what to do. Cant stress this enough, they should include parking information/directions on every confirmation email a guest receives. you cant see the hotel from either street (unless you know exactly what you are looking for).
- no elevators. not the end of the world, but carrying luggage up a narrow flight- not fun.
- the room had two tv's (good!), but they were both too small and mounted high up on the wall, no way to watch comfortably unless you are on your back (bad!)

Room Tip: Ask for a room that NOT ground floor, mine had a view of a dumpster and I heard garbage being thrown...

“So far, no good”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 January 2012

We'll we're here right now and so far, the negative reviews are all true. It stinks, when we asked about the smell the desk agent said "oh it's just a little problem I've been dealing with." Our room is stark white with the exception of the bright yellow ceiling. Lots of the tiles are cracked. The heat/ac units have peeling paint and stink of cigarette smoke when they are turned on. There is one roll of very cheap toilet paper, little tiny cheap toiletries, two towels....Where are the robes? Not here. Biscottis? Not here. There is no DVD player in this room, the phone is labeled that it belongs in the room next door. The TVs are so OLD I think we may share a similar birthdate. The pleather couch is worn to the point the pleather has worn off a spot on one of the arms. The alley our room faces is full of dumpsters and smoking restaurant staff on their breaks I guess. The huge bed has two TEENY pillows, I mean they are unbelievably small and we've asked for more, two hours ago the young guy at the front desk said he'd bring them right up. We're here on a Groupon, so I get that we're not the golden customer right now but we have pricelined the Hilton down the street for cheaper. If it gets any better, I'll let you know. The single saving grace is the location which I'm sure is charming in the summer when the fountain is going and the musicians are playing, but you don't need to stay here to experience that, that is all free just for heading to the Hill.

“Not so hidden gem”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 January 2012 via mobile

I heard about this place from a few friends who all raved about it when they stayed there last fall so my wife and I decided to take the short trip from the cape and do a Provi weekend. Truth is you can't really judge a book by its cover because the entry/lobby leaves a lot to be desired, but once you meander the strange blue green hallways to the room its like a whole new ball game. the room was "suite" massive amounts of room, very comfortable bed, with white tiles (only negative about the tile is you can hear every high heel above you)
Desk is real friendly food in the area is unparalleled and if given an opportunity, we'll be back.
