“This is a nice hotel for Providence”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

First of all, there are no really deluxe hotels in Providence, but having said that, the Hotel Providence does provide an ok "boutique" experience in the city. I should note that I have only stayed in the "King Suites" so I'm not sure how the regular rooms are.
The good things: decent sized rooms, some nice artwork, helpful and friendly staff. Valet parking.
Not so good things: hit or miss eating experience in the restaurant, very slow elevators (take the stairs it's faster), kind of a sketchy neighborhood at night.

“The best part of Providence”

A couple girlfriends and I stayed at this hotel this past weekend and we absolutely LOVED it. We purchased a groupon for a Junior Suite and we weren't dissatisfied at all with our choice in hotel. The staff is INCREDIBLE there. At one point I felt like we were probably becoming a little annoying because we kept asking for things, (extra coffee cups, towels, shampoo's, ect.) but not even once did anyone make us feel that way. They delivered everything to our room immediately and without any hesitation. We received breakfast vouchers for $30 for two breakfast's and so the first day we ate in Aspire. Our server was so sweet, and anticipated all of our needs although sadly I cannot remember his name. The last morning we ordered room service and it came at exactly the time we requested and was piping hot. Our room was immaculate and the beds were so comfortable, we didn't want to get out of them most of the time. The bathroom is very charming but for being in a room with a couple girls, we needed counter space and ended up just using the window sill. Checking in and checking out was fast. Overall, we plan on going back again next year. We felt so comfortable and taken care for there, it was a pampering experience.

Room Tip: Saturday night gets really noisy from the bar/club next door and there are loud church bells in the...

“Loved this place again”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2012

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Providence on 1/21. We had booked a special package called, "Shop Right, Have a Bite, Sleep Tight," that gave us a King Suite for only $119, which was less than their standard room rate for that night (the King Suite without the package was around $240 for that night). It also included free breakfast and a snack basket. Because of the snow storm, they had several cancelations and upgraded us to the Premier Suite, which the bellman said was the nicest room in the place. It had a large bedroom area with a very comfortable king-sized bed and flat screen tv, a nice-sized kitchenette with microwave, large fridge, sink, and a Keurig machine with coffee and tea, plus an extra sitting room with a pull-out couch, chair, desk, and another flat-screen. The bathroom was large and modern with a jacuzzi and separate shower. Everything was extremely clean and in good shape. We have stayed there once before in a regular room, and we thought it was really nice as well.

Everyone there was very friendly and helpful. It is a small boutique hotel and has a personal feel, not like a big chain. When we asked for a place to grab a drink or dessert, they suggested a restaurant/bar a block or two away, called Local 121, which was a nice find. Breakfast there was lovely--delicious french toast with a nice view of the courtyard.

Check in and check out were easy and fast. The bellman was very prompt and helpful. Note that this is a city hotel, and valet parking is $26 a night. With the rate we were paying, it didn't hurt a bit. I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: One caveat--there are church bells that ring after 8am, so if you are a late sleeper, ask to be on t...

“Little Gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

What a great little hotel. My husband and i spent the weekend at Hotel Providence to celebrate our anniversary. We were already planning a return visit as we drove home. The room was really nice...loved the little details like the mouldings, elegant curtains, marble floored bathroom. A great view of a beautiful church. We had a fabulous dinner at Aspire..the on-site restaurant. My filet mignon was unbeleivably delicious and hubby's game hen was seasoned to perfection.
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves...thank you Hotel Providence!
