Yes, the hotel is clean, staff courteous and no issues thus far.
However on Friday morning, I experienced welts and bumps on my right upper shoulder as well as my left arm.
During the day while at work I could no longer take it and went to the bathroom and stripped my shirt off to find bumps all over my back.

I consulted a nurse the Saturday when I got home to find out that those bumps were in fact from bed bugs.

I am very displeased, for numerous reasons.
Skin irritation and the idea of bringing these infectious bugs into my house by my loved ones and neighbors makes me very very angry.
I stayed in room 403.
They should take this seriously and handle it.
As an avid business traveler I felt obligated to let others considering staying there know.

The Hampton Inn is in the financial district, an easy walk to RISD, Brown and Johnson and Wales downtown campus. It is also close to some shops and restaurants. The room was clean and well appointed. It was also quiet. The hot breakfast was good,

We have stayed here on several occassions while visiting Johnson and Wales. It is very convenient to the Downtown district and within walking distance of many restaurants. The hotel is located in an area that has some empty bldgs. I didn't feel unsafe but it's not the prettiest area of the city. Rooms are clean and spacious. This is a new property so everything is bright fresh and clean. We had the suite and it have a nice upgraded bathroom with stone tile and a small kitchen area with granite and a modern urban look. We did not get a room with a view. I suppose they are available, We overlooked a parking lot. Breakfast was generous and just what you expect from a Hampton Inn. Very clean lots of places to sit and upgraded chairs, carpeting and drapery in the breakfast area. Plus 2 flat screen TV's. Parking is expensive and you have to wait for the valet. Since we did use our car a lot the next time I'll use the parking lot next door that is less expensive and has in /out privledges. Staff is well versed in the area, very pleasant and professional, always greeted you. Some are students from Johnson and Wales and they seem to be recruiting the best for this location.

Great downtown location, wonderful building but the best part is the staff. Sydney was terrific, helpful, accommodating and devoted to awesome customer service. The rooms (2-Queen) are a little tight, space wise for a family of 4 but not a deal-breaker. Rooms were very clean, as was the overall hotel. Will return for sure next time we are in Providence. Our number 1 choice in downtown.
