After much research on TripAdvisor I found Mountain Shadows resort and we're glad we did! We were looking for a cabin that allowed pets as we have a 6 month old Aussie and he along with us loved the cabin. The owners are very friendly and when we checked in we even got a little baggie of doggie treats which was a nice touch. We were lucky to have a group of elk right outside our cabin as we checked in and deer show up too which was very cool.We stayed in the Rustic Romance cabin and loved it. It is very well maintained, clean and a cozy. When you first enter you do smell chlorine from the hot tub in the room but having it in the room is a big plus and plus its not that strong and you can always open a window. The cabins are attached and very close together which is unfortunate but we never had any problem with noise. We had a friendly couple staying next to us who also had a pet so that was nice.
One major highlight with these cabins beside the hot tub is the wonderful beds! One of the most comfortable king beds we've ever slept in. The sheets were top quality as was the bed which made for very restful nights. The unit also has a nicely appointed kitchenette and outside two gas grills for use that are not shown on the website.
We highly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone.
