The accommodations were wonderfully cozy and comfortable, and the suite was clean and well kept. Breakfast each morning (prepared by Laurie) was wonderful!

Would highly recommend the Black Dog to anyone looking for a place for a romantic weekend!

My husband and I were very tired and frazzled after a crazy year, and wanted a place to unwind. The Black Dog Inn was the perfect place to relax and pamper ourselves. The location of the inn is very quite with great mountain views. The breakfast was fantastic and the inn is only a few minutes drive from downtown Estes Park. We would absolutely go back.

My husband and I stayed at the Black Dog Inn in October. We loved it! It is a quiet bed and breakfast, with spacious rooms and great food! The owners, Sheree and Carlos were so nice and knew a lot about the local area. We will definitely be staying there again the next time we want a romantic and cozy place to stay.

We were in Colorado for a working vacation. Before the work portion began in the Denver area, we spent a few days in Estes Park and stayed at the Black Dog Inn. The inn was just what we needed. Being that we work way too hard, the inn was a place where we could chill out, relax, reconnect, and enjoy some romance.

The room (Mummy Mountain) was very nice. The fireplace and whirlpool were real treats. The bed was firm, yet comfortable. The decor was very soothing, and they even provided candles. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfasts were incredible. All we needed was a mid day snack to hold us to dinner. Even brought home some of the recipies.

The inn is located on one of the main roads into Estes Park. The signage is hard to see the first few times. Looking around the area and noticing the lack of big signs, I suspect local building codes limit signage. While a bit of a pain, big signs do ruin the look and feel of a vacation area IMO. So, ones just makes note of which tree to turn by in order to enter the driveway. Being on a main road, there is some road noise. We did not notice the road noise in our room. But it may be noticable to some if the windows are left open. But, the noise will not be too bad. Too bad the inn is not located a little further out of town and away from a busy road.

Would we return to this inn? You bet! We have stayed in a number of B&Bs over the years, and the Black Dog Inn is among the best we have stayed at. The inn keepers are great hosts, yet descrete. We maybe making another trip to the Denver area next year for business. If we can add some vacation days to the trip, the Black Dog Inn will be the only place we will call.
