“Never Again! Not Even At A Quarter Of The Price!”

We booked rooms to stay in after backpacking in RMNP. In short, we should have spent one more night in the tent, sleeping on the ground! We spent $141.00 to stay in an "upgraded" room where the window a/c was placed under the drape! There was only one small window in which to let in fresh air. The other possible window was boarded up! The room layout was horrible! The bathroom door was immediately across from the front door and picture window. There was NO vent in the bathroom except for the hole in the wall space heater. You could literally look right through the wall from the bathroom to the bed. Oh, the bed! It had a 4" mattress on it, no fitted sheet on the bottom, and had stained sheets!! Everything about this room was worn out quality! The interior doors were all badly damaged. There were so many things the proprietor had me check off for liability at check in, I thought they were trying to protect something! 'Can't imagine what!!! I asked about the continental breakfast and was told it consisted of juice, coffee, and prepackaged rolls. The fellow at the desk said it was to keep room rates low! We went elsewhere for breakfast. We had family who were staying in another room that wasn't an upgrade, and they said our room looked great compared to theirs. I would never recommend this motel, nor would we ever stay there again!

“Not bad, but this is one of those "you get what you pay for"”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 September 2010

Location was great, management very helpful. Estes Park is gorgeous! Got to sit on the balcony and watch a rain storm come in, which was cool. Room was very clean. A/C-heater needs to be serviced; decor antiquated and stuffed into a small room. On too busy a road to consider walking anywhere. Could deal with all those things, but the shower water pressure was ridiculously lame. I'm all for conserving water, but my normally 6 minute shower was at least 10-11 minutes just to get the shampoo out, so is that really saving water? Even my short-haired husband couldn't deal with it. $99 a night in Estes Park probably a little too cheap, so will upgrade next visit.

“Never, ever again.”

Stayed here with three of my sons in August 2010. The room was tatty, all furniture was both dated AND beyond serviceable life. Mattresses too old and worn to give anyone a good nights sleep. Breakfast was a joke - a packet watery fruit drink and packed cakes. If you have any other options DO NOT STAY HERE. Chose a park bench instead or sleep in the car or a cardboard box under a bridge. Anywhere will be more comfortable and better value. (I forgot to say - it was the most expensive place we stayed in).

“Clean and Friendly”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 July 2010

For my family this motel was an excellent value. We went on vacation on a budget and did not waste a lot of money a motel. We spent most of our time out in the Rockies and in the town and just came in to sleep. The staff and owners were friendly and our room was clean. I am going to visit the Rockies again and this motel will be the first place I check to see if they have any rooms. I also wanted to include that the view from our room was excellent. I loved sitting on the balcony in the mornings and watching the sunrise in the mountains.

“We love this place!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2010

We come to Estes Park several times each year and always stay here. The owner is very friendly and always makes us feel at home. The rooms are always spotless and very comfortable. It is an older motel, as are most of the motels in Estes, but it is very well maintained. We really like the "grab and go" breakfast choices, so we don't have to sit and wait for the service and poor quality food we find in many "hot breakfast" motels. The elk like this place too - we see them around the motel every time we are here. We really enjoy staying here and feel so good about our visit when we have to leave.
