Chose the Lighthouse Inn based on the reviews in Trip Advisor. Didn't quite live up to the hype. Pros: Attactive lobby area, large clean rooms with a sofa and good lighting, sinks separate from the bath / tub, quiet rooms, good parking, large elevator.
Cons: Right off Highway 101, some road noise, not very good views from the window, not a comfortable bed / bedding, a very average breakfast offering (cereal / breads) not much fresh fruit or yogurt.

I am glad we picked this hotel based on the reviews, because the town was reater dreary and depressing when we were there. The Hotel looks right out to the arbor, but the rooms are vry comfortable and quiet being on the main road through town. Thelobby was very nicely decorated.

Great gem of a hotel at a terrific price! Very large, clean room with all the amenities only a block from the harbor. Look to your left as you enter the lobby for an interesting piece of art that anyone in their 50's will get a kick out of. Excellent staff. Morning breakfast was a good size for a continental.

My husband & I stayed here on our way back from Washington, this was our second time staying at this hotel. Rooms are LARGE & clean, nothing fancy, but clean & that is a MUST!
Only noise came from the foghorn in the harbor, but soon tuned it out or it stopped! While here my husband went fishing on the Smith River & caught a 30lb salmon! The guide was Curtis Wilson CA Fishing Guides.
