This motel is older, but so are most in this quaint beach town. The room was very clean, but it's is definitely a bare bones type of room!!
The one thing that kept me from rating it higher is that there wasn't a mini fridge in the room and I really wanted that! I'm sure comparable motels supply a mini fridge, but you'll need to do your own checking.
It is directly across the street from the fairgrounds! The map makes it look like you'll need to drive to get there, but not so!!
Good deal, if you don't need a fridge.

We were there in July and I only remember the cute knitting shop nearby. We arrived late and left early so this motel made no impression on me. But we slept there safe and sound.

I found this to be a nice place to stay for several days while visiting the redwoods. The rooms aren't exactly brand new, but they are nice and clean, and they are large. The beds are sound, the basic amenities are all there, the breakfast was fine, and the service was great. They didn't have decaf coffee for some reason, but otherwise everything was great for the price. I stayed in two different rooms between camping adventures, and both rooms were of the same good quality.

After exploring Crater Lake - stop at the National Park Restaurant there for beautiful home cooked food with loads of fresh veg etc - Crater Lake stunning - we came to this motel for one night as a stop over en route to Redwoods National Park & Highway 1 route down California. We would not recommend staying here - Crescent City run down - the lighthouse quite interesting but that's all - this motel is shabby, run down & for one night gave us a much needed rest & bed but we would not stay here again.
